Kiwisaver is all for the workers, nothing for the employers, a tax break they say? How can you get a tax break when you run a loss and dont pay tax? Just another cost those employers who are already struggling have to bear. But dont worry there wont be many businesses left soon, a lot of them have already moved offshore.

Re:Kiwisaver Reply to this message
This thread will self destruct after the next election as it looks like Keys is doing a back flip and going to abolish Kiwisaver.

When will we get a super scheme that is not a political football?

Re:Kiwisaver Reply to this message
Yesterday National [Bill English] said that a Nat. govt would NOT wind up Kiwisaver but would announce it's policy on it closer to the election. Maybe this could mean that the govt. offer would be reduced; not sure but it will stay.

Yes but in an interview before that answer he couldn't give a coherrent answer. Obviously waiting for a spin doctor to feed him what to say. There is no doubt it's gone if National wins the next election which is most likely at this stage.

Re:Kiwisaver Reply to this message
just as well as I opted out and I'm still waiting for my pvcking money. I haven't put diddly on this thread about kiwisaver as I think we should be responsible for our own sh!t if we're making our owm money and they should take my taxes and put some of it on kiwisaver and send me the interest. Dreams are free.

Juzzkirk.
Greedy investors buying up houses have forced the price of houses up beyond what the ordinary young newly married couples can afford. Help of course by asian immigantes.
I used to be plaged with cell phone calls from companies asking if I owned my own home then wanting me to go to seminars on how to second mortgage my home to buy an Investment house to rent out. They go a very short shift. What sort of morality does one have to stiff your fellow country men by forcing house cost up for personal gain.
Hell I like to sleep at night.

Re:Kiwisaver Reply to this message
We dont save because our salary /wages are amoungst the lowest in the OECD. Graduate with a dgree and at best yur only 15% better off. Now the minimum wage is 12 its even worse. salaries need to be lifted and tax thresholds eraised more. The tax thresholds are also preventing people being productive, why work more for nothing.
