Re:GE Money Reply to this message
Our mortgage was sold to them by Superbank a couple of years ago and we are having ongoing problems with them with even basic banking things. I was just wondering whether anyone else had, had problems.

darren, hang in there, you`re not on your own.
Wait a bit & see what comes thru here,if enough interest is shown maybe a complaint to the banking ombudsman would be on the cards.
Another american owned & based company sucking the marrow out of the ordinary people for their own selfish & greed fed gains.
Talk to TSB or ASB,they could possibly help get you out of GE banks grip & at a far better rate.

Re:GE Money Reply to this message
i would try kiwibank, i have had no trouble with them, we were with national bank, it cost us $7000 to get out of national, but with the $7000 and a $20000 loan for house renovations, our mortage payments were still cheaper then what national was, plus if you have debts you can put it all on the new mortage and be paying less then you are now all up, they will come to your home and sit down and discuss everything, worth a look

Re:GE Money Reply to this message
Thanks for the advice. Was thinking bout contacting a mortgage broker to see what it would cost us to move. The stress is ridicuolous and its all over thing that you think a bank would have sorted. It took them over a month to send us a new eftpos card and pin number. My husband still hasn't gt his. We regularly cannot access money in our bank account because of 'technical' arrears. We cannot use their bill pay service because there are not enough spaces in some of their fields for reference numbers. I once phoned to try to find out what was happening with our eftpos cards and was transferred to 7 different people. They even set up one of out mortgage payments for the wrong amount! I will now only deal with them by email so that I have written evidence of interactions but this is very slow and frustrating. They seem to be answerable to noone!

GE MONEY - are a bunch of clowns.. they have people who have no idea of banking or finance.

I have been harrassed and pursue by the collection department for about 4months. And when I put it in writting I didn't here booooo...

I was never in the wrong.. I didn't have any arears.. it was to do with their billing cycle.

They don't read their notes, so you have to bloody explain yourself time and time over again.

Them supervisors and/or manager don't give a toss.

The people there don't understand nor speak english. Their all Idians.. cheap labour farks....

GE MONEY IS A JOKE and the worst thing I've have ever done.

Re:GE Money Reply to this message
I have been with GE. I had to talk to at least 10 people before I could get sent a copy of my statement. Finally, spoke to a New Zealnd manager who sorted it within minutes. My advice is to request to speak to someone in New Zealand.
GE = a big bag of the brown stuff.

Re:GE Money Reply to this message
GE shut their doors to new mortgage business a while ago. Trouble is many people cannot refinance out at present because of the lack of appetite for lending amongst the Banks. No 'Lo Doc' or poor credit lending so if you are with GE, pain that they are, make sure you pay on time because when 'normal' lending returns to NZ you will need a 100% perfect track record. I'm a broker 0508 477324, Jeff

Re:GE Money Reply to this message
GE Finance are the biggest rip off agents in the business. They send out late statements to ensure our kids pay late and they can screw them for late payments. They convince our kids to pay minimal repayments so they can charge more fees. They call our kids and send them mail to encourage them to to take more of their 27% money. They are difficult to communicate and speak with to help them make more money out of our kids.
My advice is "NEVER USE GE FINANCE"

Re:GE Money Reply to this message
Have used GE money once before as a HP thru Noel Leeming. Would never use them again. Just totally inefficient. If they ring you regarding late payments you cannot understand them, payments thru NL branches take 5 days to process all they seem to want to do is charge late fees even if the payment has been made. If you want HP finance use Q Card they are great and even send you regular statements !!

I did years back and wont go there ever again. Pay cash for everything is my motto now. They tried to rip me off, but I escaped their clutches relatively unscathed and wiser. Get rid of them and tell all your friends/whanau to also.

Wish i'd have known about GE finance too late I got a 1300.00 credit through Bond'n Bond.
anywayz after I pay off that's it for me.
I was suprised when they told me I had been accepted for finance because of the couple of defaults against me from other companies I failed to pay because of practices that
GE seem to be commiting.
I'm sure GE was the old AEG finance.

Once requested some info from GE and kept getting junk mail for the next 2 years even after I wrote no longer at this address. I ended up scrawling 'do not send any more f#@king mail to this f@#king address' across the front and that solved the problem.

Re:GE Money Reply to this message
Currently involved in major battle with GE over 2 Investment properties.

My Trust have not paid a mortgage since Nov 2008. Have challenged GE to produce the Mortgage contract signed by us both....they have not been able to produce the contract.

I still have possession of my properties and and my legal counsel have called for 'discovery' yet GE can't produce the mortgage contract!!!!!!

Start here, mortgage contracts are about contract law, they must be signed by all parties to be valid.

You must research, Money Masters and understand the Mandrake Principal to understand what is happening. Understand how debt is created....your lawyer can't help you as he is sworn to uphold a system created and operating in the fiction. Get control of your STRAWMAN.

Mortgage contracts are fraudulent.

Contact 'Home Rescue' based in Hamilton if you are in mortgage Trauma and want to hold on to your properties.....the last place the Banks and financial lenders want to go to is to Court, forget the District Court this needs to go High Court and above, since they can't produce the so called unilateral contract that they try to uphold using the PLA Act.

All pressure is brought to bear outside Court with BS Lawyers letter etc... to get home owners to walk or give up possession.

Don't walk, get informed and understand your rights and ways to undo what is a fraudulent contract.

Ohh...they can't produce the contract because they have endorsed it to a central bank or the NZ Reserve Bank, now had they signed it and given it to you, the transaction would now sit as a debit to the them and a credit to you meaning they would be paying you interest for them creating the debt out of thin air also you would be able to sue them for using your substance (your home or the property) without permission.

Good hunting and remember who you are and that you need to research deeply on the net as much of what I speak on is hidden, try www.scribd.com and search banksters its all there ...

Re:GE Money Reply to this message
I have a mortgage in 3 parts. Two of those have come up for refixing recently. GE will not refix and want to charge 9.24% as a floating rate, while other banks are doing 6 to 6.5%. I know they want to run down their NZ business, but refinancing elsewhere is currently not an option.

Re:GE Money Reply to this message
If you feel paying for something that you actually don't owe but have been conditioned into thinking you owe is what you want to do then ask GE to produce the Mortgage Contract you BOTH signed verifying why you can't refix, if they can't produce it then is it possible the contract is voidable? making refixing an obsolete option?

Make sure your request is in writing so you can track the history for future litigation if needed.

They will say that they don't have to produce the contract because you may have inadvertently signed your rights away as part of this unilateral contract but ethically and lawfully all contracts of this kind must be in writing and bilateral ie. meeting of the minds etc... so who is getting stitched up here is certainly not the Banks or GE!! so it must be you and me.

Tell GE to refinance or produce the original mortgage contract...put up or shut up.

Research my post on this subject in the business section on BANKS.

Re:GE Money Reply to this message
GE Money are just loan sharks who happen to advertise a lot on TV, there are plenty of others who prefer to rip off people and keep a lower profile. They exist because of desperation and ignorance. Don't invest or borrow from any outfit that has the words "money" or "finance" in their name, they almost always end up down the gurgler taking your money with them.
