| How can the directors of this operation pay out such a massive amount of money to a guy who presides over a company that is making ever decreasing profits. This is sick - and our politicians need to get these obscene practices under control. |

its cause the value of the directors are thin..they themselves are incompetent to be directors cause they dont direct or not capable..send the irish or scot or pommie guy
back home..he aint worth it..also get rid of these dumb directors who have their heads in the pigs rear. |

| Between 900-1000 Telecom workers are about to be shafted [some already have with no payout]so it's time their union stepped up and did more than hold a one day stoppage and rely on car horns for support. This is outrageous greed and nothing but filling ones pockets from an entity that has become run down and outdated. |

| There a lot of people have been layed off recently without any payment,these are often long serving staff who because they saved up for their retirement can not get help, they are to old to get another job. This has come about because New Zealand in it's wisdom has let no hopers from Europe and Australia into the country, These people have learnt the skills of talk and have got into management positions, you would most likly find they have been dumped and have very little chance of getting any job in their home country. until there is a big wake up, this will continue. If they were so important and could get this level of payment (overseas) why the h--- did they come here. The unions were destroyed under E.C.A. (National again) |

| It always amuses me when a company makes a profit the CEO gets the praise and a big hand out, When the company makes a loss it's the workers fault so the workers get a good kick and the CEO still gets a handout. Talk about hypocrisy. Takes your breath away. |

I can not understand why people object to these CEO's getting large payouts, after all they are very intelegent people.
1/ They learnt how to rip off the system.
2/ They will tell you, you are the stupid ones.
3/ They demand respect, never earn it.
4/ They strut not walk.
5/ They never go to pubs only Hotels.
6/ Never go to movies only theatres.
So give them the respect they demand |

| Telecom have been shafting their workers for years. It has happened to me in the past and yet they never seem to be held accountable. they had (in the past) highly skilled workers and I assume this is still the case even though they stopped the reputable apprenticesips they once ran (while they were still known as the Post Office) Telecom were one of the first employers tp lay off all their skilled staff and replace them with casual labour. They have always been soley money orientated and dont give a hoot about their staff. I for one have had a guts full and am in the process of pulling all my custom - which includes landlane, broadband, sky, 3x mobile telephones in protest. I am moving to Vodafone and although I realise Vodafone still pay a rental to Telecom it will be nowhere near the money they get from me now. If everyone did this as a protest they would feel the pinch and start supporting NZ employees and take better care of them. How much of their profit comes back to the NZ community aside from supplying jobs for NZer's?? It seems even this small contribution is to end. Stuff Telecom I say they make alot of money from us NZ'ers we gotta put a stop to that. |
