Re:Saving the Planet Reply to this message
If we all had water tanks that would be a saver

As for saving the trees well we could make the farmers stop chopping down native bush for pasture. Check out google earth great swaths of bush wiped out in areas that can't be seen

Re:Saving the Planet Reply to this message
Water tanks can severly alter water table levels and increase salinity levels in soils.
If water catchment is too high in areas and water doesn't get to the soil, real problems with soil fertility can and has arisen.

Re:Saving the Planet Reply to this message
Years ago you used to get a credit on your rates for every fruit tree you used to have on your property.
I think it was bought in to help feed the local populace during wartimes.
Maybe time to head back that way with food subsiditation

Re:Saving the Planet Reply to this message
jaygosh; great idea. I also think that a huge area of 'crown lands' could also be planted; and all logging co's required to replant within an early designated time.

Re:Saving the Planet Reply to this message
Yer ta , why isnt this already law, I see so much barren crown land. I like the idea of credits for fruit trees too. Schools should be encouraged to plant out with fruit trees, they always seem to have plenty of unused lawn, not including sport fields obviously.

Re:Saving the Planet Reply to this message
the only way to save this planet long term is by raising ones children with values. don,t touch whats not ones befor there time.. that includes others lives. rotate the weather the right way. the more we get it right the right way the more the polution, and toxic fumes from earth will exscape out into the universe and not effect our lives,
bend over other heads and one shuts the toxic fumes inside someone else, blocking them fron escaping in to the universe.. we living in a ball of tension. of anger wars . which keeps us spinning around the universe.., by putting materil possessions second. and safty of human life first. for ever. not just for a short time.that suits other pockets.

Re:Saving the Planet Reply to this message
In Whanganui our local green network SW raised funds to provide and plant 25 schools with 15 food producing trees each - the fruit and nut trees are all of heritage stock - the old varieties - one of which Monty Surprise apple was discovered and propagated in Whanganui - it has five times the antioxidants of other apples. We also put in a submission to council to plant verges with food producing trees but this may take time. Also helped several kindies transform back areas into food gardens - very satisfying with fabulous results. Current govt has chopped funding to HEHA - healthy eating healthy action - that helped some of these projects - chronic illhealth and disconnection seems preferable to Mr Key - ??? but then we arent waiting for govt to make these things happen - Laurence Boomert

Kia Ora Whanganui. Yep - dont wait for govts or mayors. Because of your plantings in 25 schools, you have already done more than many mayors and govts, for the betterment of your Whanganui residents.

Well done.

Re:Saving the Planet Reply to this message
ok super city. one on councel at the top another ten or so on next level. another twenty odd on next level. this action should be aplyed through out the world.around culture s and families in order on levels they understand,. good idea to have a super city.BUT what happens in 50 to 100 years time when they have killed of all the wisest ones, while they rush ahead to be first. with our private personal lives they turned to them selves and we all floating around the universe. all culture had to wait in their own cultures. . they already off balancing the axel from its angle of earth when we get extreme earth quakes, and bad weather, and if we don,t have wise one up there to keep the balance when earth does stop spinning around the sun, then it will be all over for all of us, one can laugh about this as much as they like. but its the direction our lives are being pushed to. one sided in ever thing they do, nothing wrong with improving the roads, but the moaris haven,t go anthing left to argue so they want control of the councel.in stead of teaching their children the wisdom of words from there for father, then understanding the wisdom of it and staying inside there own culture. untill they reach the levels of other . wise one.and correcting thier mistakes in thier children,
and this goes for all cultures, all wisdom and knoledge, has been turned to material possions. instead of balanceing it out. with the spiritial wisdom with the material wisdom,.they brag about the titanic, and it sank,. if a person quafied for the job. we have over the years seen discrimination of all culture against others rights,so hiding behind this super city isn,t going to send away ones own past mistakes, all it does is bred more conspiriers and wrongs,to be carried out in the next generations.no one can catch up to any one elses is family tree untill they understand thier own family mistakes.. bring ever one up to the same level in others private lives isn,t going to fix. the world problem.

Re:Saving the Planet Reply to this message
bring ever one up to the same level isn,t going to fix the world problems. asian culture did this and what happened they yell across each others.getting no where.the famliy tree got crated so induviguals whom understood differant levels could help other under and over,, when we all at the same level what then.all that will happen is they tune into each other. saying the past that on the aura of others bodies,. like now and all they are doing is yeeling at each other what they said, so how is any generation going to enjoy this super city. when we are all floating around the universe, causing n off balance of this planet of its axel. its our thought patterns from our fore father and mothers that keeping us spiining around the universe, and at the same time controling the weather. if humans collect up a group of contolers eatracting others families childhood and lives, then nothing will be ahead. keeping the balance.or do the older ones say well well. be dead by then so what do we care,

Re:Saving the Planet Reply to this message
the most important part is to save human life and this planet.once they all gone there nothing left to generate life.save the animals save the trees save the water. that they keep promoting all the time. this in time will take care of its self.we had the chance to straighten out the mess we are all living in back in the years two thousand but helen clarek and her conspiriers wanted to do it there way first. at the cost of all these unnessary deaths.they pushing the wisest ones out further in the wrong direction.which is causing immediate tension and strain on the earth and its axel. i feel absolutely sick to the stomach with all these unnessary death that could of being prevented. when humans go to far in any one direction before there time they off set the planet from its axel, which in turn causes earth quakes, extreme weather. . our thought patterns and past anger is whats causeing the tension that keeps us spinning around the universe.over half the deaths from earth quakes and car accident could of being prevented. if the right track for all human survive was heeded to back in the 2000 years when it was put in writting to a member of nz parliament, we had to the year two thousand to unravel the puzzle of words of wisdom. that was causing past mistake to be repeated against each other. causing wars ill health and death.. god forgive those whom trespast against us. as they don,t understand the damage they are doing to others lives.
