Changes in Real Estate Reform Reply to this message
The law reform of the New Zealand real estate industry come into complete operation on 17th November 2009.

The new Real Estate Agents Authority has a wide range of responsibilities, including the licensing of real estate practioners.

The changes in legislation are consumer focused, and many in the industry believe the time for change is long overdue.

What changes and improvements do you hope the new Real Estate Agents Act will bring to real estate, whether you are in the industry, a buyer or a seller.

National is going to change it to a point where it,as govt. will collect big time. It will either bring in a gains tax on your home or a flat rate land tax. The 'reported' rise in GST may also have some impact on real estate sales so get ready for an enormous rip off from your home/land from National.
