| Winston has always objected to the Media who have for years twisted what anyone says to half lies, He has given them a hard time over being miss reported and consquenctley they hate his guts and have been looking for way to get back at him, Up to now he been too cunning for them however now they can smell blood, It makes for interesting politics. I clap every time Winston gets a win over these media sods. I don't actually think he knew about the money he been too busy running around as foreign minster to notice. Thats why he employes others to run the finances. |

He will take on the media to maximise his press coverage and the media will fall for it.

| It sounds as if you are one of Winston's staff members or media advisers. Winstons claims not to know are beyond belief, unless he made a point of not enquiring knowing that the answers would be bad for him, which is just as bad morally as knowing all about it, except he can claim not to have legal knowledge!! Still as slippery as ever, but those of the public with a grain of common sense will know..... Any person of Winston's legal background (which he keeps reminding us of) who is incurring huge personal legal bills, would be very very interested to know if public support, in whatever form, are meeting those costs, or otherwise he is liable personally for the unpaid portion, would know that there is probably a disclosure requirement (i.e. more than $500 of personal debt paid by others). Winstone was at pains to point out that the legal challenge was mounted by him personally and that the donations were not to the party. Now he is saying he didn't have to declare the payment of debt. Does that mean he can buy a boat on HP and have someone else pay for it and it is ok? Same definition "any debt". He is on a hiding to nothing so he should 'fess up, clear the sheet and collect his substantial pension. Please note: I was one of Winston's biggest fans for many many years. |

| Winston is hated by the media, he's the one politican who will not kowtow to them. In each year elections are due the media really get stuck in to him. It's so damned obvious, if you dont believe me, go to your library and have a look at some back issues. Also, read the current newspapers carefully, try to fully understand what they say they have on him. I'm no apologist for the guy but I hate to see a battler not getting a fair go. |

| Winston did know, in the 90's when NZ first was first elected. I donated 15k and I was invited by winston to be on the board of his think tank meeting in Auckland. These people give a lot more money then me, of cause we are getting a back hand on our request. |

| Of course he knew. Someone chucks a $100k at you and you have no idea? Didn't think to ask? Didn't notice? Wouldn't notice? We say NO with uch conviction without checking first? He took with the right hand and said no with the left. In Winstons case he thinks thats ok. Try it out on your kids!!! Maybe he couldn't see the $100k cos he blinded by baubbles. Helen Clark couldnt tell the car she was in was averaging 220km/hr cos her head was down and she was reading. Try it yourself. It's a demonstrable nonsense. Just whoppers. You wouldn't let ya kids get away with it. |

| Its not just the media that hate him, I do as well. He manipulates people to get the vote. All the dumb NZ First voters will keep voting for him, because no one else is going to talk about the Asians coming in. |

| Winston does seem to be a bit slippery. After a TV reported conversation with Sir Robert Jones,(SRB)I no longer believe he is interested in looking after any ones interests other than his own. SRB appeared on TV and stated that he no longer supported Winston due to his Asian policy. Apparently, SRB said that during a conversation with Winston, he asked him why he had such a policy. His reply: its good for votes. Talk about telling people what they want to hear. |
