I never signed a 'treaty' nor verbally agreed to anything.
Nor did my parents. Nor did my parents parents. Nor did their parents nor anybody I know. So why should I honour any "treaty" ??
You know and I know the spirit of this worthless piece of paper has been exploited to the maximum to get personal racial gain for all the part maoris ( there are no full maoris left ) here who see it as some kind of licence to give them a free ride. The words have been twisted around by the PC gravy train brigade to make NZ an Apartheid. It is now merely a tool for greedyness and racial favours. Why should I or anybody honour that especially as there was more than one version and there is contradictions that any first year lawyer, dare they try, could make the whole fiasco null and void. get over it! You werent there!!
Now Caps, HONOUR THE BET!! |

There are no true maori left. I have seen blonde maoris with 'maori' in their passport!!!
You are not a maori, just a part maori. And all the PC govt departments including Internal Affairs can't change that. All they can do is do their PC best to make you feel maori.
Get off welfare and smell the roses. Sometimes the truth isn't what you want to hear. That's tough. FACT: You are only part maori. Deal with it!! |

I was going to go on to explain to this non maori, that % means NOTHING to us, but is uneccessary as you have done this so well.
To think that my son may be turned away from our marae or our whanau because he is only part maori, or that the fact that his cousins standing beside him in the photo on my pic whom are also small percentages wouldnt belong or be entitled to what is theirs from birth/blodd right...
My son attended Te Rito O Waipareira Kohanga, he is actively involved in representation of maori rep. league teams, he is in kapa haka at school and will go back to learning Te Reo at HIS choice next year in year7 at Rangeview Int.
How shocking and Fk'N dissapointing to learn that some so-called suka would try to deny my sons links to his culture based on a percentage...
I cant even say what I think #$@%&$#^$(&^%(*&^%)*&^(_* &_)&
WE are maori - we identify as maori -
If you take us "part" maori in the negative statistics - you can take us as we are in reagrds to the treaty
Also in order to BE in this country regardless of who signed the document you HAVE to honour the treaty - you do so with your taxes
Kia Ora - thank you very much....
Dont like it
Haere atu - Go Away |

| Wow; And peace shall break out right across the country. lora; Congrats on having a good son. One can only hope that while he continues his trek through life he not only remembers, and respects, that he is maori but that he is also part pakeha and respects that. All too often these days it's those that have forgotten their roots, involving someone of another blood in their family, that cause the problems. |

Maori dont think like that we accept all the bitsas even if they are not so nice....
.... but the other way round the other folk tend to ignore their Maori side....as if everything evil belongs to them....
...yet everything good ah thats theirs! |

ela...but the other way round the other folk tend to ignore their maori side.
Just because those others, with maori/pakeha blood, choose not to identify themselves as maori doesn't mean to say they are not proud of who they are. And most don't think that everything evil belongs to them; they just want to be considered New Zealanders and left alone. Not maori, not pakeha but New Zealanders. And I say most because there would be a very tiny minority out there with guilt complexes be they because of the maori blood or pakeha blood they have.
Last but not least; what sort of a country would we have if every single ethnic race in NZ kept telling everybody else what they were. Everybody knows who a maroi is, who is asian or pacific island, middle eastern; but you don't see them standing up in public and saying "I am ........" ever time they want to make a point. Why do maori do it ? |

It's because. xtra, that legislative processes were implemented by westminster to devoid Maori of religion, language, land...you name it, all mainifestations of Maori were definitely the subject of mass eradication..A form of genocide if you will....
My mother (still alive)was beaten mercilessly by her Pakeha teachers for speaking her language and adhering to her customs. We as the offspring of that generation have vowed NEVER EVER to have the same evil sh.it perpetrated on us!!!
So we have a whakatauaki (proverb) Tama moe, Tama mate, Tama tu, Tama ora...or translated to: The man that acquiesces dies..The man that stands lives...
I, as a Maori, will never deny my whakapapa!!!!!
Being half Pakeha of Irish descent, I'd never deny that part of me either..But hell xtra, I ain't living in Ireland, so it has no bearing on my life here in Aotearoa!!! |

"... guilt complexes...because of the maori ... or pakeha blood....
... they they have their inner turmoils!
"Everybody knows who a maroi is..." [Maori] lol!
Do they really? Yes, we are reminded of the negativity side on a daily basis! Not only on here but every mainstream media in the country!
If its a sore point with you and others that folk like me can say how beautiful, gorgeous, wonderful, superb treasures Maori are ... up close and personal.... yet, not many have had the experience.... are they scared they might get 'eaten'?
Another line thats used ....do pardon the pun!
"I am ........" ever time they want to make a point. Why do maori do it ?
For most Maori its their oratorical gift and ability that is part of their inherent wealth of years of learning on their Marae atea under the Korowai of their ancestors!
Metaphorically, Maori who know, walk hand in hand with their ancestors treating them as living beings today in us, around us and through our children, 'n gramdchildren... for they live! The same applies to 'other' ethnicities that may dwell within.
As caps said we are in NZ not Asia, Europe or Britain...
I am comfortable with who I am and where my fought for place is in this land..... warts and all.... are you? |
