Gosh! So much hatred, selfrighteousness and armchair politicians who really don't do too much or research and check the historical reports and poll accounts over the last 14 years. You will be surprised how many benefits labour has acheived for NZ. But ...sigh...most remember the mistakes and not so wise decisions made. Why don't we go and see if we can do better. No...we are not politicians, you got to have a lot guts to do that. How would we fare under the piercing scutiny of the news media who go away and engineer and edit the 'truth' and goodwill. Reports are sensationalized to attract attention and increase sales to pay the bills and show profit. They really don't give a flying rip about the general Joe Blogs of society...do they? They have there own agenda. They do what the boss says...not what they believe is right. Who cares about integrity? A few...but they get shot at.

Great forum page and the topic regarding Winston Peters. Even if we don't like his politics we should acknowledge and admire him for his ability to ride the hostile attacks out and come out on top. I believe support has taken him passed the 5% threshold. How long do you think you and I would last in the same position? I believe we have to put the money where the mouth is. The saga isn't over yet. Watch this space for predictions.

There is one reason and one reason only that Winston is still around; because helen is counting on him as a coalition partner.
Admiring winston is the same as admiring those con men that keep popping up on the fair go programme, (ususally with a new alias or new strategy for conning old people). |

Labour Party will win the Nov 8 election in coalition with NZFirst(in my other threads, i predicted NZFirst on 8.5% but according to the media on 2 radio stations this afternoon NZFirst is predicted to get 9.1% )and of course with the green party.

Its funny you should say that, Winston has been around for a long time but I don't thing H is keeping him I think hes there to be a thorn up everyones b/side.
Good on him I say at least he is consistant in his attitude pick at the leader and their mates.

His re-election and possible coalition with labour would have been characterised by his usual procrastination during a NZ & global economic downturn. - Resulting in a greater than necessary, earth shattering loss of business and international confidence and subsequent currency crash, far in excess of what may eventuate without his presence. |
