Still trying to sneak that one by aren't you.
Bill English, by all accounts including Labours did nothing, repeat nothing illegal. Field took bribes, and abused his possition as a minister for monetary gain. The only politician in living memory to do do this on either side of the political land scape. |

English abused his position as a minister for monetary gain also, whichever way you look at it
From his position asexpenses approval committee member through to his position as Finance Minister ....
He knew what he was doing & could have stopped the controversy in its tracks by making other decisions, but no, he did'nt & come out with egg all over his face

I think of the false promises he gave the prospective immigrants and the fact they never got paid.
Hardly becoming for an honest person.
I think English & co were unwise, but I understand that they were actually taking advantage of perks created by the Lange labour government.
I would put Michael Cullen in gaol next for illegal spending of taxpayers money. |

| Yep 6 years for a crime that did not involve any form of violence seems rather harsh, they should keep the prisons free for murdering, bashing thugs etc.! Fields would have suffered just as much on HD, with no job,etc.! |

| sentencing is irrelevant, can't compare cases. This Man was in auniquely powerful possition and abused it. As for the degree, how much at say $50 + GST per hour do you think a tialer would get to do a whole house. I know it cost me $200 labour for about 4 square meters. How much for 80 square meters of tialing |

ie - if you make @) an hour and some one rips you for 100 then they stole 5 hours of your life
how much is the old guys life worth ?
