Hi Axe,
Maybe its not so much that the general public can be racist but that we shouldnt be hearing racism from people in positions of authority - Maori or Pakeha.
When you hear racist comments from joe blogs they are easier to wipe away but someone of standing says anything and the whole of NZ knows.
Bad feelings need to be channelled in the right way to achieve maximum results or else all your going to end up doing is damage control. |

| Who u kidding, axe has quite specifically said that Maori should vandalise certain parts of nz by starting fires and burning things down and that the loss of live is perfectly acceptable. Its called hate speech and incite ting violence, he sits on his keyboard across the Tasman trying to stir up trouble in nz. I didnt mean to imply that it was ok for joe blow to make racist comments, just that it was less noticeable due to not being in a public position.
And correct Hone should not be treated like a leper, he was expressing his true feelings though he would have achieved a lot more for his people if he had expressed them more constructively and kept himself in the political arena so he can fight for what he believes in.
Hone is not the first and neither will he be the last politician to express something radically. |

| Look up hones histroy, he and his mum use to run and old peoples home, it was shut down because they were abusing there clients, ie beating old people, not very nice people at all. |

surf i agree wuith you comments....they seem humanist...
a good quality....
however thoses comments where private....not public...
and sensationalized into something else with INTENT....
what is the fall out....
many different reactions ....mostly negativity towards
MAORI, the MAORI PARTY ...THEN HONE...
I as a MAORI are not at a loss.....WHY
WHY.....lol...they where private therefore not said as a representive of anything but an angry reaction....
which we are ALL guilty of....
are ALL PRIVATE conversations NOW to be made public by PUBLIC servants....
GOOD....there will be NO ONE in PARLIMENT so the whole lot are OUT of there...LMAO....
suites my purpose....
there are WAY more concerns and QUESTIONS NEEDED ANSWERING that are deeply engraved in GENERATIONAL GOVERNMENTS than
this issue....way more and thats beyond the MAORI issue too...
a TRUE REACTIONARY is CONSISTANT....
I wont allow a sensationalized moment, then a pigheadness reaction from a PUBLIC servant deter me from that end....
