zigzag perhaps you could read a paper or two, whether that will give you any insight into party policies would be dubious at best, you could always try heading out to the party meetings in your area and listening to what the candidates have to say, but then again I doubt that you would gain much insight from that either

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
Winston is still pulling the strings....he is attempting to set up his very own and very public circus this afternoon by insisting that the Priv Com meeting is open to the public....Talk about grandstanding, the twisted old b.a.s.t.a.r.d.....and of course Helen is sniffing around him and she will do her level best to delay outcomes of the myriad investigations in Peters until after the November elections. WHY?....because he has something over her. Winnie has something big on Helen....what could it be?
I've got a few bucks to say, it is nothing at all to do with 'donate a gate'......any takers?

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
j.holmwood .. now that is just mean. Granted none of those ladies have wowed me with their grasp on things but neither have they inflicted their views or ideas formed in a coven at university. I think it is pretty low to bring them in to it ... meeow.

This is Election year - we all have to expect our darlings to take some heat. Seems like a Labour leaning tendency to introduce other people to take the heat of themselves. Now if I could only figure out how Helen and Whinnie managed the collapse of Lehman Brothers as a diversion(LOL!!)

Nothing wrong with Lorraine Downs and maybe Lana.
Agree with you about Rachel Hunter not much up stairs, just as a thought Nikki watson could be added to your list as well, not much up there either. PS Where is Cricket?

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
to the second part of your post kev, I do not have any particular leanings at this point. However, when I do make a decision it will be based on the merits of not only the leader but the policies of a party, whoever they are, their looks wont come into it

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
Agreed J. - I don't actually think that NZ has ever been guilty of choosing our leader by looks ... there have been some pretty sorry looking specimans to date. Perhaps rather than Helen's looks (apart from on her bill boards that is) peopls are just plain tired of her just plain face.

NO! I will not vote for Helen Clark. She has had her day.
Both my votes will go to the MAORI PARTY, Parliament needs
more Maori represntatives to reflect the opinions and views
of Maori. Former Labour voter.

It's not kev who thinks "you have to be good looking to govern" but Labour's advisors apparently. They must be the ones organising the airbrushed and digitally altered billboards.

Angela/xtra Intelligence=posting from one id. Shocking when you get your ids crossed.
Regarding ids of the ideological kind your politics are obvious. You loathe and detest labour but to call Helen a pig at the public trough.Where did you pull that one from? and Lange worse than a buffoon? Advice dont post when you are in a Tizz. Read the note above.

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
Why would you Vote for this lying Lady, she has caught the Winston Peters disease, lie ,lie lie,and then try and work you way out of the situation with more mistruths and and extensions of facts. She is in charge of a gender engineering labour party.Labour Rainbow has stacked the Labour caucus with Gays and Lesbians.
No I could not vote for her anymore.
Yes in the past she has done a good job,but she has sunk to a new low re the Peters Debacle.

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
i like to vote for the NZ Thirst party. Let's all get drunk when the skunk is let off by Hell-Ann. In the NZ Thirst party, unionist will be prohibited, as they have done the most damage to the NZ economy. They always want more pay, more holidays, free booze and less work. I wonder if some graduate can do a study on Union membership.
With so many of them moving to Aussie, there must have been a reduction, unless they fake the figures like Cullen. Aunty is keeping up her abuse on National, I hope they will be wise and just concentrate on facts and figures, not on lies and half truths. Oops I can't remember what I said, I have no recollection what I said. That's sad.

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
I would in no way vote for labour. The laws that have been changed in the last 9 years under her watch have materially changed the society of New Zealand. Just a few of the laws (they are contraverial whether you agree or don't and have changed the view of society) ..... Lowering Drinking Age, Civil Unions (Gay/Lesbians), Legalising Prositution, Anti-Smacking, Election spending and probably some others. Generally this has led to a less personal accountability and responsibility for one's actions.
And another point is government corruption, the number of minister's fired from labour (can't remember all there names) (assult, back office percs etc) shows the level of corruption (although labour has got rid of some of these people). Too many scandles have tainted labour, too much corruption (this is not Colombia, Indonesia or Afganistan) and a lot of waste in needless travel for people around the world.

I am no fan of Labour but I do not think they were responsible for lowering the drinking age. I seem to recall it happening under National when J Shipley was in charge. No doubt somebody will correct me if this is wrong!

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
You are right Maddi - it was National ... God only knows why - totally misguided and perhaps funded by the breweries? Don't think they had to declare donations back in the day. I do support National but that was a clanger. That and Max Bradford's misguided attempts to "fix" electrity issues ... hmm!
