Xtr45, the scay thing here is people actually think you are serious! Now if she does get in again, we will all blame you! :-)

Funny enough, a few commentators are actually saying they think Labour is more likely to get in than National, when you take even their lowest poll result and add on the Greens.

Either way, from what I can see, and talking to others over a very long working weekend, everyone seems to say the same thing - 'No matter whether its Labour or National, it will be the same old, same old'

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
WHY NOT???

Once again Helen demonstrated that she is the consumate prime minister.. having fronted on TV1 this morning to be grilled about the Fonterra error (which had absolutely noting to do with her ..but she fixed it anyway..).. she again showed what an amazing and astute leader she is... Whatever the topic...if it has to do with NZ...just ask Helen and she will give you the most comprehensive and factual answer possible...

Try loading that on to John Key and all you will get is his '47 years' of his lifes experiences!!!???

Umm...excuse me John... what do you think about the Fonterra error..?

'..ummm.. err.. duhh..Fonterra..??.. did Winstone have anything to do with that??..umm..Helen should sack Winstone..umm ..err.. duh..we giving out big tax cuts to people earning enough.. umm err..then we will borrow from my mates to build roads and hospitals and schools.. umm dont know why Helen used the taxpayers funds to do all of those things which she done.. umm..err.. duh..vote for me if you are tired of Helen doing the right thing all the time... umm..err..ahh.. duhh...well she should know more than me.. umm..er..she been the prime minister for 9 years already.. why should I have to know as much as her..umm..err..ahh..duhh. .I'm a fresh face... trust me..and Bill ...umm..err..ahh..duhh..a nd our mate Don going to help us all get richer anyway...umm..eerr..aahh. . duhh...we gonna bring all those highly skilled people from oz.. yeah..the ones who always desert the country looking for better deals elsewhere... and we gonna share the loot with them when they get back....ummm..eerr..daahh ..duhh.. coz no one here as good as them..umm..eerr..aahh..du hh.. did Helen have anything to do with the violence in south auckland this wekend..??ummumm.. I think it all her fault.. wouldnt have happened if she would have given the people in Remuera a big tax cut you know.. umm err..ahh..duhh.. a tax cut will fix all this bad stuff in south auckland.. umm err...aaahh..duh

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
in comparision to what
lying
creative accounting with tax payers money
running a tight ship
she has had great press
but if yu look deeper she our worst
not made a decision when she should
relied over heavily on misguided public perception
taken a wait in see attitude
if anything Helens been the worst PM of any long term standing
just because she signed some artwork doesnt make her a great artist

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
AND WHY NOT..???!!!

Everywhere I travel around the country.. I see major road works completed and major projects underway...

I see new hospitals...new schools... happy, smiling, laughing people...( and a few thousand ecstatic ones wearing warriors jumpers!!!)...

I see six cars parked outside almost every house in the suburbs each night... and a boat and a jetski here and there...

I see people buying and selling houses... I see people queueing at drive throughs... I see people at sports events... I see people flooding to the shopping malls..

I see people strolling on beaches... playing in parks...playing golf during the week.. out on the gulf every day of the week...

I see happy people getting on with life..I see happy children walking to and from school..

I see people enjoying their hobbies and culture and sports..

I see police men and women helping people...

Why do I see these things..???

Because that is the way things are...!!!!

How on earth did john key think things were different to what I see.. when all I see is what everyone else can see also...

Or am I missing something...???

Am I blind... or do I not know what it is that I see with my very own eyes..??

I know what I dont see...

I dont see anyone moaning about Helen!!!????

I dont hear anyone moannng about Helen...

maybe...that's because...those moaners... arent actually out there... they are sitting at home... reading this...!!! and filling out their colmar brunton poll questionaire!!!

But there is only one poll that will be counted to find the winner of this race...

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
for the sake of our economy, our country & the average wage earner, Helen Clark must maintain her position as PM coz John Keys looks & speaks like a young wanna bee who does not understand the history & the mana of our peoples meaning pakeha & maori alike. He has'nt got what it takes to lead our country,if u r 4 keys then don't moan cum crying 2 me later lol luv ya'ol.

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
i thought this thread would end up to be a helen-bashing one - which it probably will do, when the people with lives have left.

i agree with the non-rednecks on here. helen clark has been the best prime minister i remember, and i only wish she was going to be our prime minister for one more term. i don't rate politicians in general, but at least we have a prime minister who is clearly intelligent, humane and as honest as any politician can be.

at least national will keep me in a job, i guess.

I see many of the things you have listed. Labour has done a lot of good in NZ during their terms in power, espcially considering the bucket of pig-sh!t they were handed when they walked in.

Unfortunately we are only told by the sensationalistic media that Clark and Cullen, Hide, Peters and Key spend all day abusing each other instead of telling us what they have achieved and what they will be doing for the next three years.

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
I agree, Helen Clark is the best PM we have had since Norman Kirk. People voting for Key and his Nats are either incredibly ignorant of the 80's/ 90's worst ever governments or have dreadful memories. No Govt is perfect but this Labour led Govt has to be the best since 1984. clairymcflairy

is it just me, or are other people starting to feel like supporting labour/helen is something we should be doing in private, for fear of abuse?

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
cbreeze, I wouldn't go that far. re: best since Kirk.
Lange's first term was great, until he lost it during term 2.
Given time, which unfortunately he was robbed of, Kirk could well have been our greatest PM ever.

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
there nothing of helens policy that would intice me to vote labour, gangs they very childish an won,t help this country at all. they will set this country back further, in time, for the next generation to go ahead to the future.
the public and the younger one are looking for leadership. straight talk ,they all been insecure an unstable in there lives in the last nine years of this labour govrment, all the gangs have to do is undestand the wisdom of words that come in on them do not harm anothers body . don,t act ut the past violance of one fore fathers, that comes in on them, even parliamnt has voilant tendancy when helen doesn,t get her own way, it spirals around other politians, then to the public,
