Hi Mike, I remember Muldoon putting everyone firmly in their place. Sadly Muldoons legacy is the "think big projects" but there was definitely more to the man than that. He had the foresight that we would need alternative fuel sources, that we would need to look past farming and find other opportunities to compete in the global market. Personally I think he had great ideas, but was trying to push them all too quickly, New Zealand just couldn't afford to run before we had learnt how to walk.

Now if John Key could show just a smidgen of nouse that Muldoon had, I wouldn't be an undecided voter

Muldoon! Now there's a blast from the past. Another half-wit come and gone!

Thank goodness they don't stay around forever.

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
I can't believe how short kiwi voters memory's are ! It was only six months before the last election that Helen Clark herself tabled a bill before palliment to lower the consenting age for children to have sex from 16 to 12. Not to mention all the other immoral bills they have lead, or co-signed since coming to power. Financially we are all better off, no argument, accepting the present world downturn, but morally this country is bankrupt.

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
To vote for Labour and Helen would be to encourage members of society to continue staying at home and have another child and another and another.................. ............
What's wrong with that?
Only that the hard working among us are paying to support them by paying taxes up to our eye balls. Money for nothing for others at our expense!

Keyser, I absolutely agree with you on this point. D.P.B for women and men who find themselves without financial support. I am happy to accept 1 mistake, but never 2

Helen is honest and the best prime minister we have ever had, maybe not an oil painting but that has nothing to do with what she has done for this contry, who would even think that National with all their lies could run a country. not me that is for sure,. Labour Labour all the way

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
I agree. And often the benefit received does not reach the children it is intended for. Booze, gambling and junk-food. Not all but many of the children suffer mal-nutrition (not hunger but obesity) from junk. More control. I don't mind paying taxes but I don't like to think I am an honest hard-working individual being cheated of my money. Money being given by an immoral govt to a generation of lazy individuals with no ambition. Let's see some action. Get these people educated rather than encouraging them to breed and encourage a brighter future for NZ!

"information doesn't create anything"

JJ. That would depend on how rigid your definitions of the items created are.
There are people that pay real life $ for virtual items, in MMORPG games such as Second Life, WOW and so on. A lot of these items aren't actively created by the proletariat or the bourgeoisie. (I know it sounds crazy) ;]

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
The fundamental problem with this country is that we encourage failure. If somebody is poor than socialist ideology dictates that its because they are "being exploited", not because they are lazy or spending too much on booze. So the rich, (ie: people who work hard), are automatically to blame.

Re:Vote for Helen Clark! Reply to this message
Whoever writes the software is irrelevant.
The items can either be actively created in game via an "avatar" or can literally be picked up or discovered randomly.
Also these items can be have "random" attributes and are not programed, predestined, or whatever,,

But we digress.
