Regardless of Amy Winehouses drug and alcohol issues, her voice is pure soul and she has a natural Talent and her music and songs even though some are re makes, her voice is haunting and meaningful!
Duffy has a powerful voice and she is an excellent singer, must be the welsh?? :) |

Duffy - Warwick Avenue, mar_ja, just listened, oh yeah, this is a good track, how did this slip under my radar!!! * plays it again * :-) Is the rest of the Rockferry album as good as this?
Haven't taken to Valerie - Amy Winehouse quite as much, I always feel I should be sitting in a cabaret bar somewhere in Vegas surrounded my smoke fumes when I listen to her. |

Warwick avenue is awesome dirtysouthagain and the video on you tube, however amy winehouse is still a beautiful singer, and a natural, like dusty springfield sort of ??
How about Toni Braxton even though late nineties early 2000 she is great

| They are dirtysouthagain, and I love music and yes in real life we love to sing, and band etc...in spare time and holidays if I can..all sorts, have a habit of posting lyrics all over the wheres LOL on forum now you might know why! we use them when they are up on screen and practice..I am here and rest up the line and I have a couple of good mates who are in a band here in welly so get together at night and yeah jam and sing !! LOL! |

ok.... I have to say the song that has me bopping around the kitchen at the moment is....
"You" by Wes Carr
Now... I have to say I have NEVER been an "Idol" fan but this year in Oz there were some genuinely great performers who were using it properly as a vehicle to get noticed and the quality shone through! Wes was fantastic from day 1, a multi talented musician, entertaining performer and quite rightfully won it.
"You" is a bouncy pop number with kind of a funky beat and I am willing to take a deep breath and say this is an idol I can see delivering for a very long time! |

| yeah its a good idea to share what's on offer that others may not have heard about! I have been amazed at how much Oz music is played here that we never heard in NZ and it has shown me how NZ is so influenced by the States (like I didn't know that! LOL). |
