So are Charles Wilson and Charlie Wilson the same person? Charles Wilson recorded with ecko records - soul dude I think. 'scuse my silly ignorance.... there is so much music out there now, memory starts playin' trix.
If you can, check out Ledisi though. She is an African American from New Orleans [ I think - but don't quote me on that]. Be interested to know what you think. Her vocals are wonderful. |

| very good - cheers for that. I did have a brief perusal on a site on the net that I use a lot. So Charlie Wilson sang with the Gap Band huh? Had a listen to an album called "Charlie, last name Wilson" - featured a range of muso's including Snoop Dogg and Justin Timberlake, interesting combo. |

Ledisi reminds me more than a little of Aretha Franklin, though she is very much her own sound. From what you say you are listening to, I think you may find her interesting.
I am no authority on music, and tend to listen to alt. country and heavy blues more than soul/ R'n'B; but I love variety. |
