| Hey DSA, TJ et al - well I finished my Chirstmas shopping and lo and behold there in hte bottom of my trolley was Chinese Democracy! Oh well it is MY Christmas too..... :-) Going to listen to it now and will let you know what I think later on! |

I agree uncle, the x-over music showcases the talents of genres we might not normally listen to.
Let it rock by Kevin Rudolf showcases both rock and rap
Violinists like Vanessa Mae doing collaborations with rock, r&b and rap artists
Split Enz with NZSO was really well done and set the platform for quite a few afterwards
Elton John and Dido doing duets with eminem and 2pac
Jay Z and Linkin Park
Ice Cube and Korn
I think it's great!!! |

| MGMT - well, had a good listen to "Time to Pretend", its okay, but to me it sounds like a cross between The Human League "Being Boiled" and Gary Numan's "Are Friends Electric?", only not as good as either. |

| Kings of Leon - "Knocked up" is a good tune, with good beats (not quite sure about the lyrics though), "True Love Way" is a really good song, am still listening to "Charmer", but so far best song has to be "Use Somebody". |
