Top Gear? Just a pack of dickheads.
Cant understand why a guy who is involved in a serious crash and escapes serious head injuries and death would recover and then go straight back into stunts etc...
Just asking for it really. Worse still might not be so lucky second time around. |

The one where they build amphibious cars and race them across some channel.
And the chap that compared Jeremy Clarkson to Paul Holmes-go wash your mouth out with soap. |

Don,t know about Top Gear these days, i,m pretty bored with the new series, they seem to be moving away from their roots of "new cars on the block" and catering to a new style of modern empty BS.
I really enjoyed the 2 up car comparisons and Stigs appearances spanking them around the track. |

fifth gear is a sad attempt to steal top gears thunder...
top gear is so good because it doesnt pander to the tree hugging prius owners and has fun with a whole range of really really nice cars, cars us mere mortals wont usually get to see or drive in our pitiful lifetimes... it also doesnt help it is aimed at people with more than a half a brain...
top gear is a fun and informative show, its challenges are brilliant, I loved the recent Vietnamese motorbike challenge, it was good seeing Jeremy Clarkson out of his comfort zone...lol |

Although I admire a lot of those 'supercars' I cant dream too much as I am disabled and would never be able to get in and out of one.... but if I had to choose one I think it will have to be the..... Veyron, what a beautiful car and 1000hp too boot!!! I dont know if you go to the actual cars websites and see all the options and colours available but it can be quite a pleasure...
Another car but not quite a 'supercar' that I am waiting to see in the flesh(or tin) is the new Dodge Challenger, what a horny beast, true Mopar and true to its heritage a real muscle car... |

Clarkson can at times act like a Skitzo and can be idioticly bias, he shows this when trying to prop up the Range Rover in the past just because it was British, but in all fairness backed off when it was proven to be an unreliable piece of Cr#p, now that it,s got German DNA installed it is thankfully better.
I personally like Tiff on 5th Gear as he,s totally honest, a real good driver and gives a realistic viewpoint.
They did a test with the Audi RS4 and an E46 M3 a little while back and to see which car drifted the best, that was very entertaining and they enjoyed themselves at the same time.
As a variation there is on Sky TV Channel 89 (Stratos) on Wed evening at 8.30 the German TV Motoring show 'Drive It' which gives a run down on a German motoring perspective,,,,,2 nite was a Z4 BMW, a short clip on the new Merc AMG SLS 6.3 V8 to be released next year-being tested at a track, the beast has 571 bhp, looks cool.
They also tested a Ford Focus RS Turbo and had some clips on a vintage sports car show in Essen Germany.
It,s a different perspective on motoring thru German eyes, great.
P.S. ...I think it also comes up on Central TV (Freeview) now on Fri nites. |

thanks for the stratos tip... will keep an eye out for it...
Tiff Needell is quite a good driver this may have something to do with the fact he was a formula one driver at one stage, he raced for Ensign in 1980 but like a lot of F1 drivers though wasnt too successful...
As for his telly exploits... I do like how he seems to completely ignore the manufactures specific instructions about turning the traction control off... i.e. Ferrari Enzo, Bugatti veyron and the Macca F1... he coped a fair amount flak over it and claimed his finger just slipped and knocked the buttons....lol
All in all I think Topgear have got a winning combo going with Clarkson, May and Hammond, oh and not forgetting the Stig... |

The Stig adds a good bit of aloof character to the show, and everybody enjoys that.
Didn,t Tiff appear on the very first Top Gear shows and then somebody had a falling out?...... |

| yeah the whole fifth gear team were the original top gear team the show lasted from 1999 til 2000 on the BBC they then canned it and then in 2002 decided to do it again but by then Tiff and the team had gone to work for ITV so the Beeb got Clarkson .et.al. and really havent looked back since I dont think... |

| Best episode was racing a transit van and the jag around the Nurberg circuit, the German lady was some driver, not shy of using her right foot. It never occured to me that other countries would like Jeremy's patriotic humour, what other humour translates well? |
