alf was a great show.
coke a cola was in bottles and you use to be able to cash your bottle in which would also fund another bottle.
A $1 bag of lollies would have filled a brown pie bag and they were real lollies not this plastic tasting stuff of today. the most voilent cartons on were the smurfs, snooks
and road runner
I glad i grew up we i did. |

Gargamel from the smurfs freaked me out, hahaha...
Yes... a very simple time to grow up in aye? I'm an early 80s baby and the things that my parents let me do *play hide and seek in the bushes* I think I would be hesitant to let my kids do.
As as for TV nowdays - most of it is pure rubbish... cartoons aren't funny anymore without being about vomit or something else just as gross.. anyone else notice that (there are a few exceptions) |

OMG Gigantor. I remember rushing around the yard with two milk bottles on my back pretending to be Gigantor.
Trying to make it makes sense to my son (in the days of Transformers and CGG is impossible) and oh yeah, remember those animated cartoons where only the mouth moved properly......Clutch Cargo? My all-time two favourites as a kid though were definitely Mr Ed the talking horse and The Munsters.......happy days ha |

Does anyone rmember a show called Julia
It was about a black woman who was a nurse and she was a war widow I think but her claim to fame (apparently) was she was supposed to be the first black woman on tv with what was termed a normal hairstyle.
Also TV show about 3 young people Peggy Lipton was the girl and Clarence Williams III was the black one and there was another white boy and they were sent in undercover by some govt angency. Not 21 Jump st way before that.
Prob a contempory of Chips. That era. |
