hated seasme street loved play school rainbow with zippy and bumble, also loved stooty and sweep. I hated Dr who

I remember the 2nd channel starting.We were so excited there would be something else to watch other than Play School,we got Romper Room..groan.

I can remember it was a real treat for me to say up and watch the goodnight kiwi. Then you had to wait until at least 10am for the telly to start and then it was arobics oz style yawn, but my older brother loved it i guess it was those tight outfits cut up to there arm pits

Can remember being fasinated with the wrestling with Chief Billy White Wolf, Abdullah, Mark Lewis, Big Bad John, Tojo brothers, Robert the bruce, Del Shannon.
Can remember watching the wrestling, up late for a treat and the announcment that Norman Kirk had died. TV went off air, remember grandparents turning on radio to hear news updates.

The Wombles, Basil Brush, Playschool, Keep Cool Till After School, Little House on the Prairie, 321 Contact, Sesame Street...oh those were the days when kids TV was fun and educational and cartoons were the exception not the norm...we also survived without cellphones and internet and played outdoors a lot....
