Just checked out Vander Valk Theme song on Youtube.

Weird how you see something (in this case a word) and it triggers off a memory you had no idea was in your head. I never watched that programme but the tune was played on the radio all the time. Now I know what it was called.

remember seeing this, cos it was the first or one of the first female full frontal nudity shots on nz tv.

The Evening Sky with Peter Read.
Was on, as part, or just after the local news programme that came after the evening news.

Can remember the war reports out of Vietnam.
The announcer would read a verbal report along with casualty figuires then two or three days later we would get the film stock views.
This occurred because the country was split up into 3/4 zones, Auckland, Wellington (which also used to catch part of the South Island as part of it broadcast zone) Christchurch, and I think Dunedin.

yes I do and it was James Stacey ?? he lost his legs apparently later due to a car accident or something like that!

James Stacy (from google)
James Stacy (born Maurice William Elias on December 23, 1936), is a former American actor whose career was effectively ended in a motorcycle crash which left him an amputee and took the life of his girlfriend. Returning to acting after his recovery, Stacy retired from acting in 1991. He was arrested and convicted of child molestation in 1995, serving a six year sentence in California Institution for Men, at Chino.
On September 27, 1973, Stacy lost his left arm and leg, and his girlfriend, waitress Claire Cox, was killed when they were struck by a drunk driver while riding on a motorcycle.[2] A 1974 celebrity gala, whose attendees included Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand, raised $118,000 for his expenses, and in 1976, he won a $1.9 million landmark lawsuit against the bar that had served the drunk driver.[2]
