So it's Helen's fault landowners chose to cut off their noses to spite Labour.
You have a scathing view of social policies and yet you demand handing crown land over to farm owners free-hold.
Two faced cuts two ways my friend. |

n'mind the painting was in a charity auction.
She SIGNED a painting. And jeepers creepers have you checked how long ago that was? She was pretty then.
We only care now because now she has to air- brushes her old photos to fit the mould of a fake politician.
The type sinking countries are made of. |

| It's one extreme or the other. It comes down to your Pay Packet at the end of the day. I am voting Greens as they have policies I like and they will hold the balance of power come post election. Why not vote for Labour you say? They have let me down. Why not vote for National? Because they will run the country into the ground and nothing will get done and they can't be trusted. |

paerina - no I am not one of those land owners - we have beinfitted from the increase in land prices - yes - but why did they freehold the high country when it was leasehold and owned by the crown? And are you telling me that if someone came to you and offered you above market rates for your house and kept offering you more until you sold, you would not? That is what Landcorp has done - except it has not been their money - it is yours and mine!
Again I am merely pointing out a small part of the total incompetance this Govt has displayed in a raft of things. They are clearly out of their depth and have been since they first put their greedy little snouts in the trough. If Cullen's boggling unbelievable disappearing act with the "surplus's" of which he has been so proud to the tune of a $6b deficit does not do it for you I do not know what will - mind you what should we have expected from a history student? |

I agree "Greedy"!!!
When National were last in power in there 9 year term through the 90's they couldn't even create a surplus. It was deficit after deficit after deficit. At least with Labour being Greedy the 6bn deficit they have now isn't any bigger than what it would be if National had the power when you consider the Economic conditions. |

Agree with your logic except for the one that says Labour's 'buy up actions' is all part of Land Corp's profiting strategy.
It is the only option left for Helen to keep the sharks abroad marauding Godzone with their Greenbacks. |

| I'll be voting for National. I don't necessarily agree with all their policies but I believe them to be, overall, the best. No party can please everyone all the time and if I don't like one policy, there are plenty more that I DO like. |

| absolutly!! i used to support liebour,no more, you labour voters need your heads read, you say nationals for the rich, maybe maybe not,but they are for the business's and thats a good thing, who pays the wages,we need our business's to grow so our country gets ahead and people have jobs and can pay the heavy taxes labour keeps adding to us.(carbon taxes, fart taxes etc. what a joke.)we dont need a commy country reliant on the state.Labour just looks after the ones who dont contribute, constantly giving handouts and listening to minorities (antismacking etc.)and not listening to referendemes and the soft touch with prisoners(it should be when you go to prison you loose your rights and benifits) then everyone wonders why teens are running riot and killing people, hello!! no dicipline, they should be helping the victims.trouble is the majority are to busy working to go and protest. Why do people in this country knock the rich?I say good on them if they had enough sus to get rich.if you were, i bet the shoe would be on the other foot and you wouldnt want to have to give away what you've worked hard for,the same for education, why do we pass and reward students who dont put the effort in and say its ok to fail (ncea) and give them loans so they can leave the country afterwards, not everyone was ment to go to uni,we still need trades people.I say go John Key at least if they get in this time it might make labour listen next time instead of doing what they like, trouble is nationals got a big mess to try and fix with no money left because of the wastage on the gravy train and other trains but probably wont be left in long enough to repair the damage, they cant do any worse hopefully.give em a go NZ. |

| Absolutely I'll vote National. If for no other reason than having the same government for 9 years is too long. It was too long for the Nats in the 90's and too long for Labour now. Change helps keep politians honest. I just Labour have gotten too complacent over the last 9 years. It's time for change. In New Zealand both parties are essentially centrist anyway. |

The only WORTH while reason to vote National is to justify a democratic vote.
MMP dictates that a vote anywhere else helps Labour in by default.
I say this because it's an unfortunate state of affairs in NZ Minority parties with 'Labour' leanings jumped the main ship because they get the best of both worlds.
A decent wage packet AND encumbent party recognition.
Voting National for the sake of change is as beneficial as painting a leopard spots flurescent orange.
Get rid of MMP. |

| I get sick of hearing about "9 years of failed policy under Labour". What cr^ap . This country has had 9 pretty good years. Sure, it's far from perfect and Labour have done some dumb things but who wouldn't over that time. What Labour has done is reversed some of the worst excesses of the previous National government, such as the ill-advised privatisations, welfare slashing and repressive labour laws. Much of what challenges New Zealand at the moment comes from global factors - well beyond the control of either Labour or National. In fact the world economy is currently reeling under the down-side of the same right-wing policies which National claims to espouse. Anyone who thinks a National will somehow fix everything is living in fairyland. |

The way the polls are going the Greens are going to hold the balance of power. They will be in a similar boat to what NZ First was in in 1996 election when NZ First turncoated to National after saying they were going to side with Labour.
A National Government will equal higher poverty and higher spending. It will though be good for the business market. I don't agree with them putting more money in the rich man's pocket and taking it away from the poorer person. |

brilliant taskers - not so brilliant. How can you say Helen Clark is not a LIAR. The same woman who:
1. Tried to pass a painting off as her own.
2. Lied about her address on the electoral roll.
3. Had her name on two rolls at once.
4. Is trying to pass off an election poster that looks nothing like her.
5. Hid what went on at LAX involving her husband.
6. Hid what she knew about Owen Glen's donation to Winston.
7. Said before the last election she wouldn't support the Anti-Smacking Bill and then did.
Shall I go on... and as for John Key and his investments - do you know what your Bank Balance was back in May 2003? He probably has a lot of shares and deals with them through a broker. At least he came clean straight away when he realised his mistake. Not like someone else we know.
The fact that the Labour Party tried to intimidate the Maori Party over the Winston censure says enough for me. And don't think for a minute that Helen didn't know about it. Nothing gets done without her approval. And when she's found out she tries to act all innocent.
Will I still vote National - too right I will! |
