Labour has had 9 years of surpluses and still we have major problems in the health sector, the education sector and the new class of beneficiaries (working for families). There has been no investment in power generation to a level that would affect the price of power. It all says opportunity lost. They have blown the real chance this country had to really improve our collective living standards.
They have created another injustice with the foreshore and seabed legislation. They are dishonest and do not deserve to govern anymore. I will vote to get rid of them. |

If you dont vote National it's going to get much much worse. Now that Liebour has gutted the economy (prior to the US drama)and given us a crime ridden welfare dependent society, you better be hoping like hell for a National Government. Our Country has gone broke under Liebour, we dont have a banking crisis or havent you noticed?
This small country cannot afford this socialist dogma anymore. What the hundred of thousands of beneficiaries do not and will not comprehend is this;
Without a strong economy there simply isn't the money to keep spending on you.
Tens of billions of dollars all workers should have received were taken by Liebour and spent. There is nothing to show for it. The cupboard is bare and we are net borrowers. The economy isn't growing. It's stuffed.
Another term of Mrs Davis and the dopey professor just isn't an option. |

| I am sick of people saying that if the rich get richer then the rest of us will suffer. Most businessmen and women I know who are doing well share the wealth, they hire more staff, make charity donations of an amount I could never afford, don't use the public health or education systems so are not even using the systems that their high taxes are paying for. I think cutting back Kiwisaver is excellent, it means that SMALL businesses will not suffer. I know several people who own small businesses just holding it together and Kiwisaver was another expense they just couldn't afford. It's fine for big business to be cutting back the profits but for small business it just makes it harder for them to expand and more likely that won't hire that extra staff member. How does that help the country? |

| I am voting Greens. They will form a coalition with labour and with more votes this election will be heard more than what they were last election. I don't agree with there tree-hugging love making but there are policies there I do like and at least they are honest. I would of voted for Labour but they have let me down. The downfall of Labour was teaming up with Winston Peters. He has got to go this time. Surely. |

You forgot the pledge card Mrs Davis said she would include in Liebours spending, then didn't. Then stole $800,000 of our money to pay for it. Or the prima facie case against Mrs. Davis and Ms/Mrs/Mr Simpson for electoral fraud. Followed by The Electoral Finance Act and its damage to democratic principles in NZ. Go Helen Mugabe. What about going an average of 230km/hr for a couple of hours in a car and not noticing?
When you think, objectively, about what has happened under Mrs Davis, it's very very scary. |

What are you talking about? Its traditionally Labour that does all the spending and the current government has kept the tradtion just fine!
Who said anything about taking money from the poorer person and putting it in the rich mans pocket?
Do you know that under the current government, the majority of the tax burden was/is on middle and lower NZ?
If policies are good for the business market, at least there might be the cash to pay your benefit with.
Have you ever thought of working harder and then seeing your hard earned cash taken away to be wasted by the government that is supposed to be our servant? |

Kaneio, the "poor" dont have any money to give to the "rich". Doh!
Rich people pay way more in tax than they take in services from the state. The poor pay little or no tax and take way more from the state than they contribute.
If you dont have rich successful people paying tax, you dont have state services 'cos there is no money to pay for it.
You should vote National and secure your future. If you want more for yourself, work harder and smarter and go get it. |

In the first 5 years of Labour,the world saw record growth, and there were record prices being paid for dairy products (our major export earner).
Result: A blind dog with a note in his mouth could have run that economy, also the framework that National in the 90's set up (you know the one that protected us from the asia crisis) helped Labour enormously. As soon as the shine came off and then the decline, due to the effects of the changes they made (more govt. in your life, more beneficiaries ETC ETC) the whole thing came crashing down. Remember the result of the books being opened does not include the current economic effects of September... |

| Labour have ruined NZ over the last 9 years!! And choosing the minority is EXACTLY what they have done. Everything seems to change because a couple of members of parliament have their own agenda - or because 5% of the voters want to change it - the middle class are totally forgotten and those who sit on their asses and complain about how poor they are get hand outs around every corner. How about a break for the people who CHOOSE to work hard but still have to struggle? |

I have already had my early morning rant about this government early this morning with filemaa, generally for the same sentiments in the responses already present!
time for change and it will come with whoever, and whatever party or parties that will do it for the country, each too their own. not Helen Clarke nor Helen Simpson, no way and no how! |

So where is the money coming from to pay for all of National's dreams? John Key's back pocket?
They are going to have to borrow like they did back in the Nineties. That will lead to bigger deficit's then what it is now. The Surplus's that Labour have created over the past 9 years has helped deal with the economic crisis today. Otherwise with a National government the deficit would of been bigger.
There are things I like with National. Like slashing the employment contribution to 2 percent for kiwisaver. |

| I have read through the comments below and it appears to me that Labour have won! They have managed in just a few years to turn middle incomed people into welfare reliant. I am amazed. I never thought that some of those represented below and others I know would meet the criteria for welfare dependency. They have really managed to have people think that it is ok to take money off the taxpayer in record amounts and after taking about 30% off the contributions for administration passing it back to the same people as a welfare handout. Deary deary me. |

The tranz share saga wasn't just because he lied but because he was privy to information no'one else had when he speculated.
His supporters waive it because on a prima facie basis he made an overall loss and it's an amount close to 0.1% of his net wealth.
Now for the Naughty Helen list.
How will any of it impact on this country?
ie. Wish I can paint, Wish I was pretty, I'm PM I can travel on a Leah jet from time to time.
JOHN KEY showed he can manipulate, lie with a smile and worse we still don't know what is on his Agenda. THAT , he has hidden Very Well until it's too late.
As for Key's Tax Revelations. Major disappointment.

Nationals cuts are self funding.
National is unable to have dreams. The economy is gutted and the cupboard is bare. Structurally it's been destroyed by Liebour. All National can and will do is reverse the damage and re balance the economy. They have to cos liebour has destroyed it.
Liebour took from kiwi's, over and above inflation and population growth, and "usual taxation" $110 billion over 9 years and its gone. No more Police, less surgical proceedures than 9 years ago, Armed services crippled, violent crime up 47%, hundreds of thousands more people dependent on welfare, democracy screwed. And we will need to borrow between $5 and $15 billion more a year over the next 10 years just to cover the hole left.
And these figures were out BEFORE the US/World economic crisis and reflect ONLY the consequences of Liebours economic management. So, it follows that NZ is in a way worse position to manage the current economic crisis than it could have been with sound economic management.
Divide $110 billion by 4 million people.
Check unemployment now versus 1999.
beneficiary numbers over the same period.
Interest rates then and now.
Inflation then and now.
and on and on......
Desparate Liebour voters won't let the facts get in the way of handouts.
You better go to bed every night praying for a National Government and your future.
Last Liebour Government? Huge assets sales, inflation at 17%, interst rates at 19 - 25% for first mortgages.
We are on our way back there now. |
