I think people are getting confused because of the name "Black Power".It isnt a hate based race gang like White Supremists gangs are(or unless people think their nemesis Mongrel Mob are of a different race)Simply put...Gangs like KKK are race hate gangs and gangs like Black Power are similar to Mongrel Mob,Hells Angels,Highway 61 etc...all a menace to society but not hate race gang,more of a anti-society where NO race is targeted.

Agree slightly orange, but society was never this bad back in the late sixties early seventies. Maybe it was but the media just didnt put it out there back then. I wouldnt know sht anyway, wasnt born till 65. Just go by what ex biker mates tell me about the old days, and it wasnt as bad back then. But I guess what they got up was hellish for the times.

Vince I wrote this for mike. mike.hemsley@xtra.co.nz Look further. That happened in the Wanganui district court. There were 3 white guys and one Maori, then they moved over to Hastings. I know all their names but will not post them on here. Had a mate in the Galgoffa MC here in Wanganui when they were going. He said they were animals. My mate served time with one of them in Rangipo prison way back. They also gate crashed his brothers 21st. The judge that convicted was a judge Fabion
They had a house here in Bell St Wanganui that they used to race their bikes around. They pulled down all the landlords fencing to achive this. They even burnt all the landlords furniture. My mate said they certainly lived up to their name. They were four guys he said that you just didnt mess with. They used to drag race up and down Glasgow street on their bikes as well.
Their orinal patch was beer been poured from a gumboot.
