I'm not bothered that this thread may not have a very long life but I just wanted to make a public acknowledgment to a few people and to one in particular.
I've used the Internet many times as part of my work, like many of you out there do. Occassionally, through family, I have seen the value of it as a recreational resource and that's always been wonderful too, makes the world a very small place. I have found on these messenger boards a connection with family, I was adopted as a baby and raised in Australia so e mihi mahana, mihi aroha ki a koe Mar_ja, I have had the absolute pleasure of challenging and sharing sometimes idiotic but more often than not very interesting, intelligent and often humorous points of view on so many issues - a truly awesome experience, and for that I thank all who have been part of that. What I did not expect to find was an experience that tapped into places were my emotions dwell and just wanted to acnowledge the person who took me there...it wasn't something I expected to happen per say but I enjoyed the experience.... |

| What an interesting and very well worded posting. I suppose I can understand that to some extent because it's not really exclusive to the internet culture, however because of the anonymity of it it's likely to be more enhanced. |

| Thanks for your response Katrina...I wasn't really fussed about getting any, this is simply an acknowledgment of something that affected me personally albeit through a mind connection....confirms what others have said about it can be very addictive... |

| Its not silly Liddee, I have also connected with someone I could never have met with in person, but that person is now a good friend and somebody I hope to always be in contact with, whether those emotions are carried further or not. But it was the last thing I expected to happen... and I certainly wasn't looking for it. I will always treasure it... |

I agree liddee.
He's got a tongue on him that's for sure but there's also another side...he's encouraged me to be braver on the boards and he's one of the few that comes to mind occasionally when i'm off the boards. |
