1. They come here and buy our houses a lot cheaper from where they come from forcing the price of housing so high that average Kiwi's cant own a home anymore.
2. They move in to the same suburbs and take over, without intergrating in to NZ culture
3. They winge all the time about how New Zealand is so bad and the UK is so good!! |

| Most poms I know are allright, they integrate really well,and yeah they do whine alot but so do many on here and they are NZers. Only time I despise them is when they rubbish the All Blacks! |

1. September 11 forced houses up after a 7 year low. Many Kiwis returned home after earning decent wages overseas they were able to buy a property, pay back student loans & support all the welfare recipients.
These people had been working their butts off overseas while other ethnic groups schemed how many free handouts they could get all the time supported by & hair brained Government.
Where would you like them to live? Some offshore Atoll?
Not only migrants think the country is bad so do many Kiwi's who are feeing the country in droves, or are you jealous you cannot afford the plane fare out of here?
You obviously have never left this country or your opinions would not be so biased. |

| Surely you jest! Migrants from the UK have to meet certain financial, or skills criteria, thereby satisfying some need in the financial or skills requirements for New Zealand. As for housing being cheaper, I dont think so as the wages are comparatively lower. Whingeing, yes maybe, i must admit my biggest gripe is the Kiwi road mentality to keep that spot at all costs and please dont ever indicate, you might avert an accident! Touche |

Maybe,we should stop kiwis having two year work permits for the u k and going over there and stealing their jobs then.They have 4.5 million unemployed over there.As kiwis we feel we are entitled to this two year o/e experience.Well,n z does not offer anything back to the young people of the u k.So,they can enjoy an overseas experience.Kiwis often go there,get a two year work visa and the go off to the isle of man,come back and renew it for another two years!In the u k if you are on a benefit,you are forced to do voluntary work to earn it and if you do not take a job that is offered,you lose your benefit.There are heaps of jobs here that cant be filled because there are people who would rather lie around on their *** and get a benefit.This country is multi cultural,its the way the government made it.If you cant handle sharing the country,then should bugger off somewhere else!Its the way of the world,not the way of the racist!
For me,its the best thing about this country,is that it has people from different cultures.If you bothered with them,you could learn something.What a load of *** they do not inter grate,i have been here 18 years and i have not inter grated have i? The only bad thing here is the weather!!

Good grief! what are we coming too?
This planet is over crowded, even those hiding under rocks in Gods own must be aware of that.
So more and more people are going to keep moving here, whether we like it or not.
I am in favour of more eurpeans moving here.
At least THEY can DRIVE!!!!!! |

| I think it means "Prisoner Of Mother England" and the Brits called the Aussies that but somehow its been turned around on them. Probably because the Aussies are now laughing at their great lifestyles compared to the ones left in England. |

Are you talking about poms, or just immigrants in general?
Maybe you don't like someone who happens to be a "pom" so you hate all "poms". - Reckon I'd put a bet bet on that one!
There are a lot of other immigrants here who do a lot more damage to our way of life than the "poms" as you call them.
- could you define a "pom" please, and explain how they are worse than other immigrants. |

NEW Zealand is a "giant transit lounge", according analysis showing many of its immigrants end up moving to Australia.
Nearly 20 per cent of the 37,000 New Zealanders who crossed the Tasman last year intending to stay in Australia permanently or for at least a year were born outside New Zealand, the Dominion Post has reported.
In 2003 the number of New Zealand citizens born overseas moving to live in Australia was 4,187, but this rose to 7,159 last year, the newspaper reported.
New Zealand has long been suspected of providing "back-door entry" to Australia because it has less strict immigration criteria and most Kiwis can visit, live and work in Australia without needing to apply ahead for a visa.
Most of the people who last year moved to Australia after emigrating to New Zealand were born in South Africa (871) followed by India (696) and England (678).
New Zealand's Revenue Minister Peter Dunne, who leads the United Future political party, has described his country as a "giant transit lounge".
"Our immigration and resettlement policy is not effectively encouraging people to make long-term commitments," he told the newspaper.
A spokesman for Australia's Department of Immigration and Citizenship did not wish to comment.
"Foreign policy is not a matter for this department," he said |

There is no doubt in my mind a p o m is an english person and is used a lot when england tours with their cricket side.I was born in Wales but i am not a p o m.I have noticed over the years,that people complain about other cultures coming here and not inter grating and mixing with New Zealand.Well,its easier for some and not so for others.The british find it easy because we speak english.Along with the australians ,we all fought it the war for gods sake!The british /Auzzies/kiwis have the closest ties and history together.I have heard a lot said about asians not inter grating.I consider it normal for them to want to hang out together,same for i ndian,pacific islanders.I spent time in *** an and nobody wanted to talk english to me.I do think people should make an effort to learn the native tounge but that takes time and is stressful as anyone learning a second language will agree.When they get chance to be with friends from their homeland,it must be a release to talk in their own tounge. Also,becoming a new z ealander does not mean you should lose your identity.I saw a doc o when a moari lady was living in australia and had the passport.She claimed to be a m oari

Just like you have kiwi chines e.I am proud of where i came from and no doubt if kiwis go to the uk and live,they will always be a kiwi at heart because thats where they were born.It not realistic to expect people to change to kiwis and give up their past but they must make an effort to embrace New Zealand and its culture.The guy above says the b ritish do nt intergrate,well i dont have any british friends here= kiwis,asian,indonesians,a uzzies.However,you will always feel your most comfortable and readily relate to the people you have grown up with. |

| Better to have the English here then other races who rely on handouts, i know of loads of that live in my town, i do business with them, they have money to spend, they support themselves, they have businesses s, they contribute to society and are generally pretty easy to get on with! sure they are patriotic, but thats expected, i have been to the Uk on a few occasions and always supported NZ! same goes for them who come here! |
