I read, and read alot some may call it an addiction, it is part of what I do in real life time, reading for a purpose, we will call it poetry and verse for certain purposes? Not to be mysterious or anything like that, for in words there are at times hidden meaning, messages if you could call them that! Where I live and work it is necessary because some of the people where I do live and work have limited capabilities, so small words first and then when they feel confident, the words than grow, it is a helpful technique used by many who serve and assist those who could possibly be dyslexic or even illiterate, it has become an addiction as such, while reading some of these discussion posts in certain areas of this cyber forum, there is friendship shown among posters, there is debating as there had been an election, politics as usual happens on other forums, there are visible signs of non compliance when posters do not agree, too the point of chasing, cyber harassment is what it is commonly known as, indicative of some, that is what would stand out the most, but laughter is the best medicine, a true healer that crosses many divides, it does real time as well so I would say a certain method used brought out the harrassers, but over all the Humourists and true fun loving cyber friendly posters are the ones whose memories and sharing will remain, here in cyber and more than likely out of this cyber arena. | In addition it has been a wonderful experience being back here at home in New Zealand, a few more hours it is back to family and friends other than the many new ones I have made since being here and home is always home, no matter how far away it is, and then a day or so later flying across the globe! |

| well said diamondgirl - and I hope we have all been able to stimulate your senses. I would not call my reading an addiction there is too much other stuff happening but I could easily fall into that - I love books and words and while I am not a poet myself, love to read poetry that touches me. I've lived through some good and some bad times and can honestly say my addiction is life and living it day by day. |

Got to have my fix.
Oh and I define addiction as something that if I gave it up would make my day less worth while.
I would also say reading and books.
They are somewhat of a crutch for day to day stresses |
