Re:Death Row Dinner Reply to this message
Thats the one Cidermad. Apparently one of the executing states in the US used to list inmates last meal requests on their webpage up until just a few years ago. I read about it in a Nigella cookbook.

Why should you get a choice? You kill somebody, you get what you're given.

I get a choice because I didn't actually kill anyone. This is for F U N. Foreign concept for some I know but try it - its better than whining about race, religion or politics!

Re:Death Row Dinner Reply to this message
It would have to be raw fish made properly by skraping the coconut. Shrimp/prawn koc tail home made ending with my favourite bluebird chicken chips, a large packet that I could eat each wave of a chip at a time. I may get at least 12 month more life before I reach the end of the packet.

Re:Death Row Dinner Reply to this message
I would have a small bowl of pumpkin soup with a slice of crusty garlic bread, then 1/2 of a shrimp coktail. Next a scotch fillet steack with mushrooms, a baked potato with sour cream, 1 ripe red acid free tomato, some iceberg lettuce with balsamic vinaigrette, a hogget loin chop (hogget, not lamb or mutton), a small serving of carrots and cauliflower with cheese sauce, a roasted kumara and 15 shoestring french fries. Last a bowl of hokey pokey icecream with sliced strawberries and hot chocolate fudge sauce + a slice of lemon meringue pie, 4 each of red, yellow, orange, green and white jelly beans and 4 squares of Cadbury Fruit and Nut chocolate - no, make that 6 squares. Then an after dinner mint. To drink I would have a glass of ice cold coke with lots of ice cubes and lemon slices, a G & T with lots of ice cubes and lemon slices, a glass of Scrumpy and Summer Ale. Then a cup of hot, strong Twinings English Breakfast tea. By that time I would feel so stuffed and sick that I would welcome the execution!!

If I was in charge there wouldn't be this death row dinner,PC idiocy. Why give the scum of the earth something special before execution; get real.

Re:Death Row Dinner Reply to this message
lets see now...ive just been diagnosed a Coeliac, so if the consequences of the meal didnt matter it would be so gluetn laden it would kill me if the chair didnt.
maybe start with some crusty garlic bread and a pesto dip.
move on to lamb shanks with creamy mashed potatoe and vegies
finish with a baked spongy chocoalte pudding type creation.

or maybe just ask for a chicken burger from BK!!!

Re:Death Row Dinner Reply to this message
A large roast meal (lamb, with all the roast veges you can think of) smothered in real gravy made from the roasting pan followed by jelly, fresh fruit and icecream, all washed down with a cold corona, then a last ciggie.
Not hard to please, simple tastes.
