just as a refresher, i don't want people to get the wrong idea. i am an atheist, but i posted this board to generate discussion on the existence of jesus as a real person. now don't get all airy fairy and say "he's real cos he's in my heart", there have been some very intelligent posts, and some posts from complete airheads.
my view is that christianity is based on the life of someone who was probably real, even is his name was different and he lived at a different time. i also think we would never have heard of jesus if christianity hadn't piggybacked on the success of the roman empire, with caesar augustus making christianity law. whaddyareckon? |

I'm not catholic i disagree with catholic teaching and will never be catholic . I am Christan , I do beleive in the lord Jesus . the roman catholic church was formed well after Christianity and while they use the term "christian" that does not mean they are believers in the lord Jesus ,nor does it mean they are obedient to him( their teachings alone prove their disobedience )
if you understood who Jesus (Yeshua)really is then you would know this truth existed before the term christian .
humanity goes back 10,000 years .. based on what , unproven carbon dating ? conjecture , Come on guys , you who demand evidence and proof all the time .. Abide by your own rules lol |
