Latin :tangibilis, from Latin tangere to touch
a: capable of being perceived especially by the sense of touch : palpable
b: substantially real :
material2: capable of being precisely identified or realized by the mind <her grief was tangible>
3: capable of being appraised at an actual or approximate value .
all the above ..i used the word with very good reason .i do not believe in fairy tales .i am a person who desired deeply at all times to adhere only to that which is real .if for one moment i had found along the way that there was no true reality to the biblical word of God then i would have walked out in a instant .. but it teaches to apply faith , to hold on , to endure ... not to bail out at the first hint that things are not happening as you perceived they shopuld ( which is what too many people do) i held on and edured and God came through to prove it all to me .
"tangibly" |

| I believe in a lot of things, belief in oneself, that trust is a valuable! trust that when decisions are made for whatever reason they are done bearing in mind that doubt would not enter the final result! I believe that people have a right to choose whatever faith they want to! I also beieve that non believers are entitled to their rights to ! the freedom of speech, a human right, not a right that says a belief in christianity has to be the Truth!.. equality is there such a thing? whose equality and on what terms! Gods or the christian truth,?? or is it that in the christian paradigm superiority over other belief systems is the "norm"?? How about the other cultures and their right to their own belief sytems, ?? that got overthrown by christian ethics and morals! were the savages etc! in jungles or third world areas or other places really barbaric and heathen? were they really? Who said so? and Why? |

| Many "barbaric and heathen" religions were also cruel and bloodthirsty (see the Old Testament for examples)and they often killed missionaries, priests or indeed any white man. Very few primitive religions had anything that could be admired, no more that modern religions have, either. It is obvious to many people (although I hope wrongly) that there will be a showdown between the West and Islam. |

I have been reading through some of the posts and basical it comes down to belief in the Bible.
You either choose to believe it or its all rubbish.
I choose to belief it because I have seen for myself the truth, there so much evil around us I don't know how any one can not believe.
To-day here its a beautiful day the sky is blue and the sun is shining and from our place you can see the crystal blue sea the scenery is magnificent.
Who other than God could have created such beauty??
The other night I took a picture of the sky it was a beautiful golden colour...surely we have a wonderful God his handywork is amazing
And yet so many still do not believe |

Hi dirtysouthagain
1. God is perfect. God created us. God is all powerful. God, who is all powerful, created a being capable of imperfection. Because He could.
2. You are right to imply God could not contradict himself. God chooses when and when not to intervene in the affairs of man. Because He can. |

Hi dirtysouthagain
I wish it was that simple! Your questions are repetitively asking ‘why would God…?’. I’m challenging you to answer ‘why wouldn’t God?’ |

...actually I can't resist...re-post
from nothing
an incalculable series of events began,
random, coincidental and unobserved,
with unimaginable improbability,
and a universe emerged,
of immense complexity.
from nothing? |

| As stated previously deecee, it is ludicrous to believe that god would create ALL ELSE in our world and universe, and purposely create man imperfect. Do you know how photosynthesis works? The articulation that went into the design of this is sheer perfection, yet you would have me believe that he would create this "perfection" and yet make man tainted? Seriously?? Because he could? |

hi dirtysouthagain
At a quick glance these are either false deities or religious celebrations. What's your point?
Sre any of these false deities or celebrations:
> still recognised today? Anywhere, let alone around the world?
> the basis for which human history is dated?
> the basis for a faith for which continues to be followed and spread 2,000 years after it's founder dies?
> the basis for the worlds best selling book?
My next post may have to be about lies told by evolutionists (we could start with Piltdown man...) |

Once again, answered in a previous post. Theuniverse is finite, therefore it must have had a first cause. This first cause must have been infinite (ie uncaused), outside of the Universe, and all powerful in order to create the universe.
The reaons for this go to the reason God created mankind, and have been answered in earlier posts. |

| deecee...I presume you are talking about the Universe that your creator made? The universe that I know about actually was in a chaotic form, of radiation and particles, that expanded, cooled and became more and more organised, to show galaxies of all sorts, made of millions of stars...I am sure you botherers have a different universe. |

My point is that they pre-date Christianity and tell the same fables as what is written in the bible in regards to Jesus. Truly remarkable don't you think that they all have the same bogus story they tell, Virgin mother, 3 Kings, The Last Supper, hmmmm, I guess the laws for plaguerism were not quite as they are today huh? Boy, they would have their as s es sued from here to kingdom come nowadays. |

| Yes, quite right, the "I don't believe in Jesus" took a dive and why? Because all the Botherers kept well away. We (the Infidels) had a few laughs and came back the the Botherers site and resumed our attack. Please make sure it that you don't make believe that jesus shut it down---you lot are cowards!! |
