there was once a man , who in a time of stress went to the bible for guidance ,, not to god, but to the bible ,
he let the book fall open randomly and with eyes shut he placed his finger on it .
he opened his eyes and read where his finger touched ,, the words said .. and judas went and hung himself ..
thinking "that's not to helpful" he repeated the exercise , again placing his finger blindly on a spot after the book fell open .
opening his eyes he read where his finger touched and it said ...
"go and do likewise "..

THE MORAL of the story is to point out the danger of taking a part of the whole and presenting it utterly out of the context of the whole in which it was presented .
when some one does such a thing willingly it misguides others to their harm .
this is the epitome of a lie .." to present partially correct information out of context in order to bring about the demise of the hearer" ..it never results in their good.
all the recent posts of easypeasy (aka pigpot) have practiced this twisting and misrepresentation of truth used in part and out of context . none will benefit from his words,not even himself , for they offer nothing from which a person can be benefit. |

reality of the life of those that have died and returned contradicts your unsubstaiated claim which amounts to guess work , where they speak from personaly experience and testify of that experience
as i have said before , while you speak from opinion only .. they testify from experiential knowledge .
if i were to ask a 2 people from a prison camp in ww2 what it was like there .. one had never been in a pow camp but gave an opinion of what its like
and the 2nd had been in one and testified of what it was like ..
It would hardly be strange that i would choose to beleive the testimony of the one that had been there .,.over the mere opinion of the one who had not .
to me , yours is the opinion of one who "does not know "
and you would do well to be honest on that fact .

Morning christians, agnostics and athiests! "floating on air" cyber air and cyber time! it is a fact all that have participated in this debate, argument, suppressive and oppressive views have been shared! whether they be derogatory etc or even provocative and incitive to the point of cyber insulting, not only to read but more to the point! is it all necessary?? it actually seems so, or either of the sides would not feel it necessary to continue! One is not to fussed that my query concerning T.W. Ratana has been overlooked or possibly dismissed, eggs!
He in his time was REAL, he lived a REAL LIFE, in this country AOTEAROA/NEW ZEALAND, he could not walk on water, he did not have loaves and fishes to feed the people! WHY! dirt poor as a result of GOVERNMENT LEGISLATIONS! however it is said he recieved a message (TOHU) via a dream, now as a result TE MANGAI like others was seen as a PROPHET, NOT A PROFITEERING ONE EITHER~!!!!, that is why his legacy and his dream is still revered today!!
Furthermore ridicule it if you like and disseminate fiction from facts every which way (quaquaversal),not to darn fussed anymore! real life and all therein is great, hence many, many prophets have existed in time, even these of contemporary times! To believe is not WRONG! it is determined by what one chooses to BELIEVE in!! a personal choice, however one is not MORE SUPERIOR THAN THE OTHER FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME, believe it or not!??? have a great SUNDAY everyone and perhaps this debate may END!!, oh no, HOPE, ?? :) take care , Pai Marire! |

Your refusal to read the OT again to refute what I have said regarding this unpleasant piece of fiction that you hold so dear, is quite weird. I am not really waiting on your comments; I have read of the massacre of whole cities, the no-quarter policy, the slaughter of even animals, the sacrifices, punishmenst, the silly laws...and all the rest. Now, you have also read of these. You presumably support these bloody incidents. Why should I actually quote your silly book, when you know it better than I?
I am always conscious of the mixture of deliberate falsities and doublespeak that runs through your posts. If something written in the Book of Riddles actually conflicts with approved doctrine, the account concludes it is 'historical narrative' but not with 'God's approval'...which does not make sense coming from an omnipotent and omniscient god, in book of riddles supposed to be without error. Or is that only when it is convenient? |

I can offer you nothing about T.W. Ratana. I simply do not know a thing about him. But I hope someone can enlighten us, as I would be interested to know.
And heres the shocker!
Just because I do not follow the babble of christianity dose NOT mean that I am a non believer in spirituality.
I think there is more to our ancient history to know and learn. I am OPEN to the possibilities.
christianity is NOT one of those possibilities.
So I am obliged to argue against it until a higher reason prevails.
As for why we non believers continue to parry the religionist, the answer is simple.
We non believers are content. Happy to go about our bussiness and let be.
The religionist on the otherhand, have a misssion to "spread the word" and convert one and all.
They can not deny it as they have been at it for 2000years.
Look at the consequence's of that.
Madness, mayhem, war, violence, death, destruction, slavery. it goes on and on.
So much for a peace preaching diety.
When christianity was in it'a ascendency, mankind entered what is known as the "Dark Ages".
And that says it all.
Christianity has wrought much damage on the development of mankind with it"s
blinkered views and intollerance.
Though it is not the only religion in the ball park doing this of course.
That is why it MUST be challanged and dealt with by reasoned thinkers.
If mankind is too develop further (spiritually) and faster then the heavy yoke of the religionist a round his neck must be removed.
christianity has pilliged so much from earlier religions and belief's and successfully marketed it as it's own.
It is a scam of a religion lacking in true spirituality. |

| since death is an absolute certainty, it certainly makes sense that the masses will look for any way of delaying the inevitable, that is a natural phenomenom .. hence the belief in god, jesus, prayer .. all the things that offer false hope to the weak minded .. so mike there you have the reason why such a large part of the population believes .. not because there is any substance or truth to it, but because it offers them 'hope' that they will have something after death .. any alternative to death probably seems attractive, however outlandish it sounds .. people living in the real world accept we are born, we live, we die .. end of story |
