dumbfounded? i thought it was pretty clear.
when you say "Jesus is not a real man, the real man abandoned his real name and became Jesus", what source are you quoting? the bible? not everyone translates the bible as literal fact, surely you'd only be dumbfounded by the statement above if you DO read the bible as literal fact.
there have been many historical extrapolations into the probability that there was an actual dude who the jesus stories are based on, versus the idea they were all made up by some group of people. i like to think there was a real guy, but only because i like stories... |

I'm just telling you that christians are normal people. They are in your neighbourhood. They invite you to dinner or parties; work with you; laugh and cry with you. He/She may be your mom or dad, your brother, or simply your friend, WHO CARES for you. |

For starters, a cell IS an organism.
Secondly, all those people that talk about the universe being some sort of proof that God exists seem to somehow ignore the way that evolution can be seen all around us, too.
For every hackneyed example ("the wonder of a flower's petals", "the poetry of a sunset" rhubarb, rhubarb) you can see Evolution in the simple case of a guy that starts a shop, does well at it and opens up a second shop.
His brother, who also went into business at the same time, wasn't as good a businesman. So he never got past owning his first shop.
Eventually, the first guy owns a huge chain of stores and maybe sells his own products. He's still in retail, but he's branched out into (say) manufacturing and transport as well.
Evolution. Right before your very eyes and not a Hallmark moment in there. |
