I like the William Wallace history like many others, even though Mel Gibson portrayed him on screen, it was excellent.

I have an old friend in Scotland, and I was told he was head of the Wallace Clan, I was also told that he was incensed by the statue raised in Wallace's honour because it had a definite Mel Gibson look about it. So apparently, he took a chainsaw to it and removed the head.

Of course, I can't confirm this story and it was told to me by another Scottish friend who could lie for Scotland if it ever became an Olypic event.
