Andrew - Beautiful music to my ears. Will be looking for Zeitgast in the movies... roll on 2012. Oh actually maybe we have to do some work before then to raise our consciousnesses... just in case it is the Rapture after all.

Mikef - nothing to do with the flood, but plenty to do with what's coming up. According to the Mayans it's the end of their calendar - end of days? That which is not relevant in Gods eyes has been wiped off the planet before according to the bible.

I saw a doco about Noahs arc that was scientific based, sonared a mountain and showed half of a huge boat in it in about the right place...... interesting and thought provoking but not absolute proof.

Re:The new bible thread Reply to this message
haha no its cool, i can scroll and go there , i just wondered .
Mayans , end of says, end times , hey im a beleiver remember , but i will hold these things and watch how things unfold in the course of my own life time . That the biblical prophecies will take place is as certain as the ones that have already taken place are .
catastrophic things will happen when .. not sure exactly that would be that wonderful conjecture thing again .. im watching for the more subtle yet blatant things , such as a financial system where you need a mark ,chip , what ever in your right fore-arm hand forehead whatever , in order to buy and sell and it becomes a capital offense punishable by death to refuse it .. .. I'll watch and get back to you on that .

Re:The new bible thread Reply to this message
You wont watch it mike for the simple fact that it explains everything. Jesus is fake. Go watch it. But you know its only going to blow you bible to bits thats why you wont. I challange you to watch this video mike. Go on with an open mind. With the bible beside you. Open your mind to the truth. Like I said, none of you will watch it for fear of the truth.

Re:The new bible thread Reply to this message
Andrew - I took it to mean not that Jesus was fake but that Religion Money Power struggles were no longer relevant in the face of the coming consciousness shift. Jesus whether or not he was a fake in the "was he alive" sense matters very little in the "Jesus has been worshipped by the Christian churches with these observable effects sense"

Mikef - does being a believer mean you don't believe any other source than the Bible (just for clarification?). Did the bible predict computers (just to be cheeky)

As for the mark on wrist and forehead I always liked the theory that it's a mouse and WWW. on the head of the computer screen.

Re:The new bible thread Reply to this message
I'm keen as to watch it but are any of us really able to have an open mind on such a topic? It is our belief not an opinion as is your position. I think you can find evidence to support or oppose any wiew point ever held but it doesn't change what is and the only real way to know beyond doubt is to die and not be resusitated but then it's a bit hard to share it on a thread. maybe 'God experiences are a phyciatric episode but they are still real to the person and I know of many that even you would not think to be crazy Andy. I believe we all have an operating system and it helps us be who we are, a Mac just isn't compatible PC or whatever and to change operating systems can be a major upheaval to the general running of a being, If however you feel doomed under one it can be a worthwhile experience and a life saving one to change. We are all human first and for most and whether you believe Jesus is who christians say he is his message and example was to treat your fellow humans with respect and dignity regardless of class or position and that's good message. It's also humans who have used his message to gain power over others through religion and doom and gloom preaching but not JC himself, He resisted the same things we see in todays religious factions.

The penny has dropped... I have been blaming the failures of the church on Jesus not doing his job properly! As you point out the power struggles of the church existed long before the advent of Jesus and according to some even made him up to keep up appearances.

@ruach2012

haha ruach , hows it going ? been a few weeks since we knocked heads ..
but yeh maybe the mouse and WWW thing is preparatory lol.

Fair question on - not believing anything unless its from the bible -.
Yes i do beleive things from other sources, for me... hmmmm ... think of it like this ...

The bible to me - (im not going to argue others opinions on this thread ) - is a straight edge , where other things align to it i am accepting of them . this is of course not a deep cunclusive way to put it just a light idea .

for example ..i asked a catholic priest one time " why does the RCC teach and practice things that are clearly not in the bible ?" he replied " you drive a van and its not in the bible !" my reply .- " that is correct but its not in opposition to the bible either as many of your teachings and practices are ".. the point of that little tale is NOT to get into that topic haha .. but to display how i align all knowledge to two things in my life ( the written word ogf God (the bible ) and the living word of God (The lord Jesus) where the information or whatever is in agreement and not contetion i am willing to accept it .

i mean if one is going to beleive ,, then beleive , don't change with every change of breeze and opinion or acceptability because of pressure around .people who do that are "unbelievers " in whatever strain of thought .

did that sort of answer your Q ?

april_mike: It's not evolutionists who argue about the height of Everest, it's geologists. In any case, I'd like to see your "evidence" that shows it's been "submerged" in water. Also where did this water come from and then go (assuming Everest was the same height now as during your mythical flood).

Re:The new bible thread Reply to this message
Hi Adam
Just another aspect of the bible, I am doing some research for a course that I am writing on skin care. as a matter of interest to the students I like to go back to origins & the history of the subject & guess where a lot of information comes from... yes the Bible. It actually goes back to 4000BC but some of the earliest recorded findings go back to 1729 BC. At the monent I am up to 300BC. It is quite fascinating the oils perfumes & ungents that were used all through the Old & New Testaments, in fact one of the old ones used in the time of Jesus (labdanum) I have been trialing it with other oils for a year in the treatment for skin cancer. We have so much to learn & understand & pass on if we can. , I have reached my 3 score years & ten & still learning. One thing I do know is that you can only give what people wish to receive. Exciting though isn't it?

yes ruach .. there are such references just as there are references to every manner behavior of humanity in the bible . the basis of your reply is completely out of context .
You asked me a simple question and I gave a straight answer.

Mikef - seriously how can you say you check your actions against what the bible says when there are clearly out of date actions contained within it. What source is available to identify which is ok and which is not.

Re:The new bible thread Reply to this message
ruach your reply displays a fairly complete lack of comprehension of the Bible , while you know some of what it says you do not understand what you read . the old testament points out on the whole that man is guilty and needs saving .. the new testament makes that salvation known and ushers in the law of love which fulfills the law in a perfect way and was fulfilled in Christ Jesus and when one believes on him one is clothed - not in ones own righteousness but in the righteousness of Christ Jesus.

also i didn't say i check out my actions, you asked in essence if i believe information that doesn't come from the bible and i said yes, if it is in agreement with both the written and the living word of God (who is the Lord Jesus )
it is advisable when you ask a question ,to not read what you wish to hear into the answer but to simply read the answer .

mike_f596

Hhhmmmmmmm.... how subjective.

"It is advisable when you ask a question, NOT TO READ WHAT YOU WISH TO HEAR INTO THE ANSWER but to simply read the answer"

Try that advise for yourself when you read the bible.
You get out of the bible what you want to but that dose not mean the rest of us do.
Therefore you can not say that rauch is wrong in what she gets out of the bible ( which is few answers)and you can not say that she lack's comprehension just because her understanding is different from yours.
Bible quoters, it appears, are the most sanctimonious of all.
