| well you both miss the fact that what the entire bible states on any given topic is the doctrine of that topic not one part of what its states . this puts the majority of your arguments out of context . you base what you say on a piece and not the whole . |

bc .. im not questioning the bible i read it as it is .. i was asked a question and i replied to it .. my answer was then twisted .
and i can say that comprehension is lacked based only on the comments made which reflect a fractured knowledge on a topic . |

bc ..you said " you can not say that she lack's comprehension just because her understanding is different from yours."
im replying that, comprehension is notlacked because understanding differs .. im saying that comprehension is lacking based on an obvious lack of knowledge of the entire bible . people take little bits you think you know ..misquote them out of context and base justify your opinions on them ... this displays a plain lack of knowledge of the entire bible and what it teaches . |

hi everyone, thanks for your posts. i've been out of town, so was unable to reply.
to those of you who say "not another biblebasing board!" or "yawwnnnzzz".... i ask: why are you people so eager to expose your stupidity?
as for the ark being on mt ararat, i've seen the evidence for this before, and it's really uninspiring. seems to be based on the discoveries of a crackpot who really wanted to have found the ark, butcouldn't get any earth scientist to agree with him:

and another thing. people have said here that whatever you believe, bible or science, your beliefs need to be based on faith that you're right.
that means you must have faith that your assumptions about what led you to your beiefs are true.
almost the whole world believes in science, because what the scientists say is based on proofs. for example, earth scientists know their methods are right, because they can interpret the layers of the earth, drill a hole, and find oil. chemists and biologists can design a vaccine to make you immune to the measles, and presto, you're immune. aerodynamic scientists can design a plane, and the whole world trusts it to fly them to their destination.
i think, if we are going to have more conversions of educated people to religion, it would be really helpful to the cause if there was some clear help from god.
tsunami and earthquakes aren't very encouraging. |
