How do you get away with it? Do your workmates do it as well?
Our work had a recent reminder that our personal calls, esp those to cellph's are monitored and only a select few have internet access. Even the faxes are monitored and the boss gets a monthly printout on all this. |

| all kudos to you clarise. One of the most undervalued, underappreciated 'jobs' there is. Nobody seems to take much notice of it till something goes wrong then all the experts and critics come out of the woodwork. |

At my work you are not 'allowed' to use internet during work time, but on your breaks you are....so i'm on a break!
We are made to sign form that we abide...I think it is so they can fire some one if they want and have that there to use as an excuse! |

Yep me to, I'm a contractor my office is based from home, some days I'll be here some days I won't, depends on how my staff are going. I also have an office in my work based premises but prefer to be on tap for my kidlets and lifestyle of enjoying and participating in their schooling.
I normally go into my office every morning before I head back here (home). I find it is much easier to get on with the real work than be interupted all the time. |

I work from home, just take a peek now and then, like when I go get a cuppa.
Justify it by telling myself that if I worked in an office, I would have people stopping by to gossip, and that would likely take more time.
Also, it gets kinda lonely working all by yourself, gotta check there are other humans out there sometimes. |

to all you home workers
reckon we should find our own water cooler, or lunch room to have a wee gossip in????
i love the flexibility working from home gives, but admit, miss the human contact... even if I got pissed off at my fellow workers... it broke up the day a wee bit. |

| im a stay at home Mum, so im always posting from 'work'. My bosses are both tyrants, and when ever they see me posting on the forums they either yell at me, demand to climb on my knee to see what im doing, or poo in their pants. |
