Oh, wouldn't it be nice... I've been cloud watching, wondering whether to hang out the washing, but sure as eggs... the minute I do.

Actually, I am beginning to wonder why my middle aged sister has set up this Facebook account.

I must admit I do giggle when I see people wandering around town wrapped up - it has never dropped below 20 degrees here this "winter" and even at night I think the lowest was 12 - just meant you put a blanket on the bed! Reminds me of when we moved to NZ and wore summer clothes all winter in Dannevirke!!!!!!

From my understanding Facebook does seem to "cater" for an older user.... my niece did my Bebo page so I could post blogs and pictures of what I am doing without having to repeat myself to everyone but I am not very good at keeping it up to date!

yes, I am assuming that's why sis did it, she's in USA, me over here in the frozen north of NZ, and her grown up kids in UK.

I don't usually try to sign up for these things, but I'd like see my sister's face... and of course, check whether she is sticking to her diet, hee hee

With facebook - have you tried logging on from the actual website rather than following the link in the email?

If your daughter has facebook setup to remember user name and password on that computer it will automatically sign in under that name etc.

aha, I was wrong.

I wouldn't know how to find the homepage, or what to do then, but that possibly explains why I got my daughter's Facebook account... I was using the lap top, which she is confined to using.

I reckon you're right about the computer recognition thing.

FYI For sharing photos and videos with people overseas "photobucket.com" is pretty easy to use. The people who view them dont even need an account you just email them a link with a temporary password.(its still secure).

You can also log teen out using 'logout" at top right of facebook homepage, then log yourself in. :)
