Dew Drop Inn Reply to this message
Didn't know what else to call it or even what the theme is but I just felt like a place to have a friendly natter about anything and to share anything - at the moment I'm focused on a wobbly toddler and contemplating whether to extend my maternity leave or return to my teaching job!

Didn't really want to start another thread there's enough here already but I'm not really a thread jumper or a very regular poster - and I like quotes and the sharing of good books anyone's read and of course you budding poets and poet lovers are welcome to drop a line.

What I would appreciate is that if it's a boring thread just be upfront and tell me - but welcome and post any useful, useless, humourous, sad, interesting, informative, wisdoms or idiocys - the choices are endless.

And if you want lunch - bring a plate!. lol

Re:Dew Drop Inn Reply to this message
I have to be careful in this joint Jenny
With my cooking skills I'll never get out of the kitchen and brining a plate would be out of the question.
To feed the hoards that will come in here I would need to bring a truck

I once loved a poet
and she loved me
but alas our time together
was never meant to be

Was it me or was it she
the oceans parted her and me

Re:Dew Drop Inn Reply to this message
Well teaching is a passion of mine but I've started some home schooling to my 1 year old.

It's fun but then learning is.

Re:Dew Drop Inn Reply to this message
I suppose by ethinc I mean more your asian or european dishes - of course you can't beat a good Sunnday roast with all the trimmings and dessert to follow but I think it's about having that knowledge of other cultures in order to make meals interesting

Re:Dew Drop Inn Reply to this message
well I sing a bit chineze and clap and tickle, and giggle, and tumble and flick musical mobiles with my finger

so I can teach a 1 year old that learning about their environment can be quite pleasant:)
