Darkness ,
I laugh at it
Morning ,
I laugh with it
Evening,
I rejoice in it
Night ,
I sleep in joy
How the days of shadow
have departed
I do not know
This wonder
This miracle
I dance
I dance
I dance
An angel sat beside me
stood to right and left
together we bowed
and laugh we did some more
'till flesh would tear at seam
and all of heaven seen
of light of life so lived
in full spirit of all that lie
and shade did once deny
Now life and light
do sing in me
and song I lift with dawning
mist as incense sweet of mended rift
and thee and I are one, are one
and none to make us part again
O one of truth O one of light
that holds me fast in hand of might
I Bow. |
