Yes it does as a maori woman im motified by the comments that are placed on disscussion boards like these, As for my pay as a surgeon, i spent $50 000 of my own and worked hard to get where i am, I Question why people thing that because of my occupation i have no right to say anything!we still have the same bills as others whom are not surgeons.
Maybe if we all decided to plan our lives and act accordingly then we wouldnt have to moan about handouts, and its funny because our team saves hundreds of lives yearly and thats the thanks we get! thanks harry.jess |

| smokedemducks...as far as I know they do get vouchers to get food and such, also a mate said they have "no booze or smokes" on them . |

| easy on that reply because i dont just pay for them i save them too! It angers me to think that kiwis can be so reserved and judgemental on others who work and my big fat salary, it looks brilliant on paper but minus the tax and of course super,then feeding five,paying a mortgage,rates insurances and house hold utilities life is just the same as you! but remeber i was a student and did the part time work so i have been there too! |

| blcdgrl you dont need to justify yourself.. you have a respectable job ok so many you make a few thousand extra than some other workers but the terrible strain it must put on you and your family and the amount of time it takes away from spending with your kids you deserve every last cent |

I won't have children for years, if at all, because of the cost involved.
And yes you do have the same bills as the rest of us however I bet you're a heck of a lot better off than the majority (ESPECIALLY those who need to be on the dole).
AS I SAID BEFORE, what about these white-collar criminals that apparently cost the tax payer around 3 times as much as those on benefits?? Let's whine about them. Or is it ok, because they have a job? |

| your choice, thats why we had kids so then we can provide for them, at least we know that there are still some good thinking people out there who dont plan on bringing children into the world without getting good careers behind them, we dont do pets and yes both my husband and i are career people and hold good titles but we too never forget where we came from and how hard work does pay off, as to your white collar criminals who cost the tax payer thats fine by me because they have jobs and pay tax or portions of it, they cant go to winz and ask for a food voucher, |

| There will always be people that take things for granted just as there will always be people that rip off taxes via tax frauds etc... Personally I get more annoyed with the white collar crime for want of a better expression. Business people that claim personal expenses via their business etc.. They cost the country a ton of money in unpaid taxes. |
