Tax payers do not just fund benefits! All those liable parents do contribute as well,so maybe those who are discussing benefits should really get their facts right. Liable parents contribute millions each year for their children they choose to piss off on,and thats just the ones that do pay! What about those that do not? Why are they not being made more liable?

Re:tax payers fund benefits Reply to this message
Im on a benefit. I have 5 children. My husband was a criminal and he used to beat me, but not at first, he gradually started, then came the drugs. I left him. i work part time as a cleaner to try to give my kids the basics in life. my life is hard i have $2oo a week for food, clothing and petrol. i dont eat much,so the kids have enough. I dont go to doctor when sick, i dont buy clothes for myself and forget about dentist, i only go when in agony. I cant afford school fees and the school set a debt collector after me, my kids have missed out on school trips cos i did't have the money. We never go to movies or mc donalds. Do you think that i like my life? My kids are all well behaved, my eldest completed all her schooling and is a "decent" citizen now, and she has seen how hard my life has been and i try my hardest to make sure my kids don't make the same mistakes i made.

If you have 6 kids then you are already a buden on society
You say your man worked 40 hours a week to support your stupid breeding program, however you didn't see fit to mention the tax rebates given to you,or the cost to other taxpayers of subsidized doctors, schools, school clothing, etc
In fact your poor overworked man is probably recieving more
in benifits than he pays in taxes.
The taxpayers of NZ would be better off if WINZ had subsidized his vasectomy!!

people who knock beneficiaries are sad specimens,so sad that the only time they feel better about themselves is when they can put down other human beings less fortuanate than themselves i would far rather my tax money contribute to someones well being than to help pay some fat cat imposter politicians salary plus perks

Re:tax payers fund benefits Reply to this message
i left a job up north and moved down south to earn more money and most of you say you work a 40 hour week normaly i do a 48 to 72 hour week so i can have a resonable retirment meanwhile the goverment go on about uping the retirment age so by the time we get there we will be to old to enjoy so why not drop the retiring age and take these persons (not all people are on the dole through choice)that are milking the system to fill in the positions made vacant by early retirment and give them a choice take the job or loose your welfare

Re:tax payers fund benefits Reply to this message
Lets not forget that we hard working people have to forfeit time spent with our children, while beneficiaries have the pleasure of having this privilege. You would think their kids would be law abiding citizens but stats show that they mostly end up being on the dole themselves, joining a gang or murdering a hard working, tax paying migrant.
Many beneficiaries also take out loans from these little finance companies to fund their 'need' for the finer things in life, like SKY, their holidays (yes even international travel) and traditional gifting to their church or extended families.

I fully concur with you nigel.A few years ago this govt.changed the goalposts and raised retirement age to 65 from 60.Now they are muttering about changing it to 70.They have got it RS about face.If they paid out super at 60 there would be more jobs for young people, thus less on the dole. Also this cr,ap i read earlier about"dont do mornings"etc.has to stop if these bludgers are in good health and offered work they should take it or lose the dole

Its funny all these ppl who have come on and moaned about being knocked for being on a benefit.. i too was a mother of 5 who married a "woman basher".. he was jailed for his crimes however i still never saw fit to go on to a dpb..how after being treated so lowly and kept down for so long would you want to sink even further by going on to a benefit I picked myself up and got a job to support my kids..it annoys me all these ppl going you try living on a benefit well hello to you lot we dont have anywhere to run when our power gets cut off or our bills fall behind.. i do note that the one saying she has to live on $200 a wk can clearly afford the internet hello if your that poor shut the stupid thing off and go without it

Re:tax payers fund benefits Reply to this message
while i realise not everyone on a benefit is there by choice obviously we need sickness, invalids, the super but alot of these mums on DPB and ppl on the dole dont need to be, too stay home to collect a benefit so you can be with your children is a choice you decide to make if other mothers can juggle work and homelife so can alot of these ones who say but who will look after the kids there is always choice. Im lucky as i now have a partner who can allow me the luxery of being home with my children as we have a child who needs constant care as she has severe problems and can only attend school part time as a one income family sure at times we struggle.. but still we have pride in the fact we are and always will be a working class family

Re:tax payers fund benefits Reply to this message
purplepantry, so you had 5 kids and you had to get back into the workforce, question: who looked after your 5 kids? What sort of work did you do before having kids? I am guessing you didn't support 5 kids as a checkout chick at New World?? Seriously!!! I would just like to know how you did it?
