alamein.. here is a story for you.
My family lives in NZ, and we've been here after arriving from Derbyshire, UK 17 years ago. My mother is completely fluent in Te Reo and up until recently had a high level position at Te Wananga. She has devoted her entire life since arriving here (only a slight exaggeration) to respecting maori, and to working for other pakeha respecting them too.
The point is, not all pakeha disrespect maori, and some of us sincerely agree that there has been a rip off committed (TOW) but it wasn't my mother that did the ripping off, nor was it me. Why is it that we suffer the disrespect meant for our (not even distantly related) predecessors? |

There was never any disrespect meant, you and respectful others got in the way of the firing line and ummmm got shot joke! joke!

Kia Ora Mike.... now if your mother could somehow get across to the rest of the Pakeha Iwi to learn like she and you did there will be lots more respect shown all around.
It was duly noted in my last post some Pakeha do respect Maori and vis a vis. |

Careful alamein. Remember what happened last time the poms said they'd respect maori. eatme is obviously after 40,000 acres of maori land.
