VB:
MOney should be split amongst every living relative of that iwi. Only way any of them will ever get to see any of it. A scholarship here and there won't help many. The ones that need it don't stay in school that long anyway.

Then each person gets a pittence, spends it on groceries or whatever, no more money, just a big fat puku. Hmmm.....Don't agree.

After settlements are finalised, "iwi" are apparently to be renamed. To "igi".

I Want It becomes

I Got It.

LOL

ala

No attempt to "get you". Just an honestly held opinion, and a fear of what is to come. And as you are wont to say, pakeha have the most shysters and con-men.

So watch those whities.

By the way, I have a Harbour Bridge for sale. D'ya think your iwi might be interested?

Thanks ala! Yes, keep roaring loudly, that's how change happens. That's the difference between Pakeha and Maori. Pakeha will band together, the whole country under a common cause. But it takes Maori a little longer, I don't know why it just does.

Hahaha! Not all white business men are bad though. Our marae, one of the most beautiful in New Zealand if not THE most beautiful was funded almost entirely by koha from the white community in 2003

i used to work for ngai tahu, and through that work,I was invited to a board meeting, rugby match, night out etc,the meeting was chaired by sir Tipene, along with a dozen others at the front of the room, half of whome were pakeha,Later on in the evening after several drinks,I asked Tipenes right hand man,why so many pakeha on the board, and his reply to me was, that they have been in buisiness for many years in the pakeha world,so if we are to succeed in the same world, then their advice and managment skills are worth alot more than we pay them.

Vry

I feel by the way you talk that you are the one who wants to get your hands on some of the money your extended whanau may get.

We try & help you by explaining ways for your nephew to get recognition of his whakapapa & then you go all anti about this.

Dont sit on your butt bleating, you have had some ideas given to you, go & follow them up & see what happens.

You are sounding as though you are beaten before you even try.

Why would I want any I'm not even slightly Maori. Just saying I bet at least half of yas will never see a cent. And what happens to the ones that belong to more than one iwi? they get paid twice? I told ya my nephews grandmother disowned yas and all your problems. They are going to respect her wishes and keep doing as well as they are :)
I bet most of ya sticking up for all this BS are sure to be in line for some $$. Not like most Maori.

Going away for long time.
I'm just saying it's gonna be interesting to see how many of 600k maori actually ever get anything. The ones taking most of the flak for your actions. Will never see a cent.
