Gary your right many iwi will employ Pakeha until their own people acquire the appropriate skills and that makes perfect business sense.
I have to say though that part of the settlement process is Iwi have to have an infrasture in place that is accepted by the Crown before monies is signed over. |

| Hi Ripeka,Having that ifrastructure in place as a condition might seem like its the whitey telling, maori what to do and how to do it,But there is good reason for that,its not so much about telling maori what to do,its more so to do with the future,Look at tainui,and look at ngai tahu,some bad decisions,some good invesments,At the end of the day,it is also in the goverment best interest to see maori do well and acheive the benifits and reap the rewards.I hope you are well ripeka,regards best |

Just thought I'd rub it in a little. All most Maori are gonna see is a bunch of fat cats in bmw's. While they are still relying on the pakeha for their free food and rent. |

| Hi Gary : ) yes thanks I am very well. Our Iwi have already looked over Ngai Tahus and Tainuis infrastructure and as they were the first to settle its good that Iwi who come after learn from their mistakes. Both Iwi were very forthcoming in sharing ideas, the dos and donts. It puts us in a far better light. |
