| He had an outburst, so what, he's "human" ! He's been a very positive and pleasant presenter. None of us are perfect or exempt from mistakes (including Tony) and therefore not in a position to "judge". I cant believe the people who are saying this was a domestic and was dealt with. If that had been your sister or mother you would have wanted to string the animal up. His pathetic news statement , when he described his behaviour as "inexcusable" and then promptly tried to justify his behaviour was inexcusable.
He has admitted a crime and the police should now charge him with GBH, or whatever else they can bring him up for. He sounded exactly what he is, a slimy excuse for a human being and he deserves all he gets. |

| Sorry Kev, He had no guts. He waited 2 years until this was becoming public, so he showed about as much courage as he did in beating the woman up. To ask people to look at themselves first before they criticise, well I am in my 50s and have been married for 34 years and not once have i ever raised my hands to my wife. No real man would ever have to do that. He is what he is and he should get what is coming to him. Have you people not seen the adverts; Violence of that sort is never acceptable. |

| No Noblok, not my daughter, and i dont care who's daughter it is, or mother or sister. It seems that too many of you out there have this neanderthal view that a female is just something there who has to take this barbaric abuse. By the way if she had done it to him, I would be saying the same thing. |

| I think NZ has enough to talk about without dragging up old news events. He messed up big time, payed up, did counselling ... Let it go! All of us can mess up and loose our rag, how we deal with it afterwards is what makes the difference. |

Hey Augustessa,
She took the money he offered with a confidential agreement and now its public...
At the time she should (I hope) have had independant legal advice over the course of action to take. The fact that the agreement was signed does tend to suggest that both parties accepted the settlement. There is no requirement to press charges if a case is settled outside the courts. In this case both people involved forgave and got on with their lives.
What we are really angry about here is the fact that this option is not used more often in resolving violence...the truly remorseful will all too often make huge amends to rectify wrongs! What does this guy have to do to satisfy everyone? We are all pissed off because he did the right thing and we feel cheated because the media can't expose more (I will apologise if I am wrong)
