| the hullaballoo over those teenagers larking about at the museum is a perfect example. sure what they did was wrong, but what a kneejerk overreaction. at least they were getting a kick out of history |

I blame it on the cigarettes they were using-I told them not to Sieg-in-heil,next the Granmar boys will be marching into Belgium(A.K.A. Kelston) all over again.Thank god the Rugby is over and the cricket season is coming. |

Youth always seem fascinated with facism Wolsley.Perhaps when the realities of life hit them the fascination will wane.Perhaps some of our youthful politicians could have a good dose of history as well.
Alas I fear some more poverty and a good war will be the educator. |

No,no, we're all too sensitive about everything.
Of course what these silly youths did was thoughtless and insensitive. But where does their silliness fit in the greater scheme of things? What if the same traits had led to wrapping their father's car around a tree with all dead inside? Or falling off while challenging the Caroline Face of Mount Cook? Silly reckless things are what kids do. Surely a stern talking to and an apology would be enough - not this ridiculous overkill with public flagellation & humiliation before the entire village - (oops, I meant nation). The Brits got upset because one of their royal family did the same thing. But whether he likes it or not he is meant to represent the ideals of British (family) life - that's the royal family's job, like it or not. Only my humble opinion of course but I believe we have lost our sense of proportion and we totally over-reacted. As usual. |

Maybe what they did wasnt in good taste but it was stupidly funny for them and others!
Each viewed the graphic pictures with different eyes!
The publicity will regenerate the apathy of the young and old as to what WW11 was all about. |
