Re:Trust Helen Clark Reply to this message
You may know a few people like that but what about the finance companies that have ripped off thousands of kiwi mums and dad investors, where is the fairness in that? there are probably more white collar people ripping off kiwis than there are people ripping off benefits according to the latest stats.

Re:Trust Helen Clark Reply to this message
xtr the ones who enjoy the fruits of labour, rarely labour. they buy labour with capital which is nothing more than accumulated labour, and put it to work to accumulate even more capital. the labourer who sells his labouring power is subject to all the market forces that any other commodity is. ie his price eventually comes down to what it costs to feed clothe house educate and propogate more labour, that is, his cost of production. but we arnt talking about a lifeless object. we are talking about living feeling human beings. thankfully in this country there is a law that garantees everyone an income when they cant work for whatever reason. i dont think the system is "fair" at all. those with capital are they only ones who can increase their capital because they are the only ones who can buy the means of production.

jamisonjohn,
Frankly I find your paranoid communist line somewhat boring. I suggest you forget your Marxist religion and start thinking for yourself for once in your life.
I'm sorry on your account that there are almost no countries left on this planet that you could go to live in in order to enjoy a non capitalist society.

Re:Trust Helen Clark Reply to this message
The system is perfectly fair. If we want to risk our money by purchasing some capital in the hope of some return, we can purchase a corner dairy or shares on the stock market, all you need is some of your savings. There is no monopoly on the means of production any more.

Without capitalism you would be eating grass my friend.

I can tell by your tone that you are repeating material that someone has told you. Once again, try thinking for yourself.

This is the last advice I shall give you.

Re:Trust Helen Clark Reply to this message
purchasing capital is the privilage of a minority. refute that. to become a capitalist one needs first, capital. he also needs an attitude of possessing, not sharing. he must become greedy if his aim is having. he is more, the more he has. he must feel antagonistic toward all others. his competitors who he wants to destroy, his customers who he wants to decieve, his workers who he wants to exploit. he is never satisfied. he is envious of those who have more and afraid of those who have less. but he represses all these feelings so he can represent himself to others and himself, as the smiling, rational, sincere kind human being he pretends to be.

You are stuck in a time warp my Dear friend here is something for you to ponder on

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.â€

Re:Trust Helen Clark Reply to this message
its the system is not bad if it is used fairly-- those who provide effort (workers) are not treated fairly in asystem that requires an unemployment rate of 6% toforce rewards down to a level so that exorbitant salaries aqre paid to those at thetop with the excuse that you need to to attract 'the best' but when there is a shortage at the means of production --- no you can't pay high wages there because it means it cuts into their salaries and bonuses.

Re:Trust Helen Clark Reply to this message
xtr459383@xtra.co.nz - Helens Fraud....deleted, actually I think thats because you cant make accusations without proof.
Basically, you cant trust any polititian especially when their running for office, they will all do and say whateva they feel the voter wants to hear.
Everyone here has the right to vote, would be better if you put your efforts into making sure your family and friends exercise their right to vote, instead of having a go at each other, really how much difference will all this disagreement have on your vote, you have all decided on which party you will be voting for so what are you trying to achieve with this.
All parties have some good and bad in their policies, Labour regardless of what some think here have done very good things for the working class people of this country - thats the majority, National with their new leader JK who I think is really just the mouth piece for the large business orgainisations (hence why joe blogs doesnt trust him) have yet to produce policy of any substance, alot of what they are preaching to be their great ideas have been happening for a number of years, work testing beneficiaries, upskilling unemployed, limit of 12 weeks on unemployment benefit etc etc. How do the National party propose to address long term beneficiaries, maybe if they showed a bit of transparency they may gain some trust.

Re:Trust Helen Clark Reply to this message
This is what the Aussies think of Helen, LOL.
They think, we know she is a waist of space, And H2 is even carrying more power than Cullen, LOL NZ is the laughing stock across the tasman.

Prime Minister Helen Clark is laughing off an Australian briefing paper which says she does not trust those outside Labour and that she formed her foreign policy views during the Vietnam War.

The Foreign Affairs Department briefing was handed to Australian journalists ahead of Kevin Rudd's visit to New Zealand earlier this week.

It also says Miss Clark's chief of staff Heather Simpson is considered the second most powerful person in the country.

Miss Clark is not worried about the briefing, and does not believe it is embarrassing to Mr Rudd. She is describing it as a "hoot", and says she does not propose to release the briefing she has on Mr Rudd.

If that is an official brief what do you think they really think of Helen, LOL.
Bet its not good.
Sooner she/it is gone the better.
