A few questions for Rodney Hide, that I think we as the tax payers of NZ should all demand answers for before he wastes any more of Parliament's time questioning Peters about matters he has no evidence of.
1) There are rumours that Big Business has promised large amounts of money to oust Peters (after Peters has exposed them numerous times for tax evasion). Does Hide/ACT know anything of this money? Has Hide/ACT received any of this money? Will Hide/ACT receive any of this money if he does oust Peters?
2) Can Hide tell us about the Trusts that ACT uses to take donations? What have those donations been used for, and who did the donations come from?
3) Hide, are you jealous of Peters/NZ First because he polls double or tripple what you/ACT do in the Polls, and has been part of the Government where you never have?
4) How many hours parliamentary work have you done in the last three years compared to Peters? I am guessing maybe half the hours Peters has done at most? |

| Peters has always seemed a self satisfying slime to me. What work in Parliament? Do you mean his social services card? Peters only works for number 1. I think one day he will shown to be the criminal he really is! |

Solutionz, what nonsense. Winston Peters / NZ First is totally responsible for free doctors visits for kids, pay parity for Primary Teachers, over 1000 extra Police, etc etc. You will also find many middle income middle aged and younger NZers are now turning to NZ First because they see they are the only ones who ever speak any sense about law and order, immigration, health care, education, etc.
I am yet to see anyone actually make a factual statement backing up claims that Peter's doesn't/hasn't achieved anything. Even his opponents in Parliament admit he is possibly the best Foreign Minister we have ever had.
So - your argument was ????? |

Xtr4593. I take it you know nothing about politics or government? Just the fact he has been foreign minister working virtually 7 days a week for the last three years would throw your "what work?" questions out the window.
Also, Richard Prebble many years ago did a survey of number of hours in Parliament for each MP, his goal to show Winston was the "laziest". He was totally p'd off when he found Winston was actually the hardest working - I know this because Prebble told me!
So, amazing what the power of Big Business and a biased media can have on people's perceptions huh? |

Grizz.
I am stressing, because I certainly dont want Labour to stay in, but National quite frankly scare the bejeezus out of me - when they cant even get their act together as a opposition how the heck will they run the Govt!
As for NZ First, I can't see anything that would mean I woudn't vote for them, after all they have achieved when they were only a minority party in parliament. yet people seemed brainwashed that they are some 'big bad entity'. Crazy really. |

Right such a knowledgable chap that he tells the Koreans how to run their country.
As for the health system I and my family have private health insurance. We wouldn't dare live in NZ without it. I lived in Canada for a number of years and I have to say that their health system was at the time anyway miles better than ours.
If you want a good politician, try one that works to enabling people to pay their own bills and dosn't encourage them to become serfs of the state:) |

Hmm just had a look on the police website to see how they are going on that 1000 more frontline staff.
All I could find was that in Sept 2006 thy had managed 200 and by Feb 1 07 they had got an increase of 176. After that I couldn't find any references. Perhaps they are embarrassed. They seem to be more concerned about stopping people leaving at the moment. Bomber:(
Actually I agree that we need them, but there is more to running a country than saying "There shall be 1000 more policemen" |

Half!!!! no freaking way. i am struggling to think, hear of, find, speak to anyone who knows anything Rodney has done in his time in office.
This is his big time man. He can taste his success.
Surely parliament will see sense and stop listening to this twit.
And whose supplying him with this innuendo bits of paper he's reading off. He sure as hell hasn't dug the dirt himself.
And I bet its cost untold. Who could be an ally whose got the money to pay to dig the dirt?
Not Rodney thats for sure |

Cath,
They are not innuendos.
They are sworn statements provided to the Serious Fraud Office and our High Court.
It's now up to us as NZ'ers to ensure that the process is seen through unhindered to the bitter end.
You may wish to consider that at the time these statements were made, Helen Clark agreed to disband the SFO, without warning and merge them into the Police.
You may also wish to consider that the NZ Police, despite evidence to the contray have refused to prosecute any members of the current Labour Government.
The Labour Government appoints senoir police.
My favourite was when the Deputy Police Commissioner went on national Television and said despite evidence of Electoral fraud "it was not in the public interests to prosecute Heather Simpson". Simpson is Clarks chief of staff.
Please explain to me when the issue of election fraud and the threat to our democracy is not in the publics interest. |

Thats a great conspiracy theory "Clark disbanded the SFO because she didnt want them to investigate Peters" - oh you guys make me laugh!
The SFO being disbanded was announced before any complaint by no-real-work-to-do-Hide made a complaint. Also, the planning of it was planned for several months if not years.
Lol, but hey, you made me laugh. |

Amlite, I have nothing to do with NZ First, but I do have an interest in fairness and logic.
I am not a brainwashed ACT, National, Labour, NZ First or any other party supporter, in fact I sit back and judge the parties on what they achieve. NZ First is the only one I can see who has achieved anything decent in parliament in 9 years or more! So, whats your argument? |

Mr Farrelly
This is NOT serious stuff
It is Not fraud
It does Not threaten our democracey
It is pure and simple entertainment.
NZ cannot afford to have Winston out of parliament for the next 3 years. |

| cath you are so right, he's the most entertaining Politician I've ever seen, how the heck he gets away with it is beyond me, but yes losing him would be sad, but on the other hand how can he stay. Perhaps he should close down NZ First and join labour in some quiet back office. They could let him out everytime there's a big scandal, so he confuses everyone until it all gets forgotten about. |

Trev,
I'm with you, As you say Winston is the only one who has achieved anything decent in the last 9 years.
I would tend to agree that big business is probably behind trying to get rid of Winston, One can only wonder what dirty washing Hide has hidden, Be very interesting, Funny how this has surfaced in election year.
We all know big business hates Winston's guts.
John Key hypocritial to attack seeing the Excustive Brethren support at last election. |

Haven't you guys noticed the terrible truth? The leader of the house Margaret Wilson has always prevented the opposition questioning Labour and their friends too closely in the house!
The muzzling of Rodney Hide is only another day in the on-going saga! |
