Come on all you aplogists for what is evidentially the most disgraceful chapter in NZ Politics since, well, Clarks first election.

If it wasn't a problem, Clark has had 6 months to say so and hasn't.

All Peters had to do was produce the records to prove all is well. He hasn't.

This had to happen. It doesn't surprise any thinking NZ'ers, its just come as a shock to all those that have so far suspended rational belief. Did you really believe that when Winston said "I will clear this all up when I get back to NZ" and then rose in Parliament and started quoting excerpts from a fairy tale titled "The Mad Hatters Tea Party" that he did indeed "clear the matter up"??

Honestly. Doh!!!

i dont get why this is Helens problem again ,if i put myself in her shoes i would also leave it with Winston to sort.

Winston was the only reason Helen is in office ,so i could understand why he is a target ,loose 5% - loose majority.

This is a well organised attack by clever people. Shame we cannot get them all to work together for the good of NZ.

They all spend so much time nit picking to get up the ladder ,Politics is retarded and i fear im getting caught up in their web.

For the record I'm an Atheist.

I find the existence of a God that created the World in 6 days as a repugnant insult to my intelligence as, well...Winston Peters saying in Parliament "Glenn is wrong" I wasn't at the Karaka sales in 2006". When he is on the Hansard record as saying he was and photo's have been produced proving it.

Rational people deal with facts.

Those are the facts.

I'm sorry that you have been so clearly let down by Peters and Clarks disgraceful conduct. Im sure it hurts like the truth often does.

It doesn't make me or anyone else quoting legal records Brethren. It just make's the apologists look dumb.

That the apologists have failed to acknowledge the facts.

In History they were often refered to as "Flat Earthers".

The charge is this,

Having had 6 months to offer a rational explanation to the allegations made,

Peters has,

Prefered to destroy his own integrity, be investigated by the SFO and clearly misled NZ'ers

Clark has,

Put her personal interest in retaining power as Prime Minister above the interests of the Country, Parliament and NZ's International reputation.

Irrespective of the outcome of any formal investigation by anyone, these circumstances exsist in our Country as of todays date.

I have referred to disgraceful conduct and it is.

My personal view is that this scandal hasnt ended yet.

The apologists need to get out more.

What is the charge against Clark? What has she covered up?
There was a coversation she checked it out and got on with running the country. It is Peters responsibility to sort out what he said. If this is all that can be leveled at Clark then we haven't got much to worry about I would rather have her judging me than some of people who post onthese sites. its like a lynch mob guilty by hearsay ignoring the facts.

Re:Clark knew in Feb about the $100000 Reply to this message
Without question I would.

I am on the record defending Winston Peter's view over the Winebox. Letter published in the NZH in 1994.

I just cannot find it in my soul to defend the mockery and hypocrisy that has come to light today.

My personal view is that the SFO has not moved today without foundation. I believe that Clark will let Winston go tomorrow, or fall with him.

Personally I have never had any belief in Clarks integrity. This goes back to incidents that occurred in the late 1980's in the Lange administration.

I have seen nothing in Clarks administration since 1999 that has given me cause to favourably revisit my belief in her integrity, quite the opposite in fact.

Re:Clark knew in Feb about the $100000 Reply to this message
No.

I come from generations of Farmers and businessmen. I was raised blue.

Until my early 30's I refused to vote at all. I just thought it encourages Politicians and the sort of behaviour we have witnessed recently. It left me free to criticise all and every Government without fear or favour.

I have voted since the early 90's. In every case I have voted National with one exception and in that instance I voted ACT.

I do not believe in MMP as being truly representative of our Country. I believe it has allowed the tail to wag the dog.

Except for Military service in the late 70's and early 80's I have been self employed all my working life.

Currently I am recovering and resting after a bad accident in 2003. Like you JJ (?) I use my real name on the message boards.

I am by nature a Rationalist, a libertarian and "right wing" as the popular saying goes.

dfarrelly - I am a libertarian, and right wing because libertarians fit in no other..I also don't believe in MMP, it is a libertarians nightmare. As a libertarian i believe in a limited Government, but voting for the closest thing is the single most important choice i can make ..I have to care and vote who gets elected, as do every elegible kiwi otherwise we've got no blody show..

Re:Clark knew in Feb about the $100000 Reply to this message
I may confuse quoting "rationalist" as in the belief in "rational" explanations for events as opposed to "Rationalist" as in the belief that all men are born equal and its societies role (or governments role) to maintain that equality (socialist) dogma.

I am happy to rise and fall on my own beliefs and values. I feel strongly that it is not governments role to supress, interfere with or distort those values or beliefs. Be it through taxation, social policy, Police, Courts etc.

But Im a good citizen and not an anarchist. I do believe that the values and beliefs of society in general are to be adhered to, in order that society be peaceful and lawful.

Thread creep again. Lol.
