three typical kids who ive never been able to bring violence against. sure they get lippy but they got rights too. smackin is the easy lazy way. it takes more effort to sit down and talk with them or to take a toy or privalige for a day or whatever, but its better than instilling fear and physical pain.

I have never heard such utter nonsense in my life. I really believe that this woman has totally lost the plot. She is obviously getting desperate becasue the anti smacking bill has not saved any lives in NZ. She just made good parents into crimminals. Now it's the teacher turn - whose next - well maybe the Doctors and nurses won't be able to administer treatment to children because that would be child abuse - oh she makes me want to vomit!

That teacher is not a normal or professional individual. I would be interested to find out what kind of high school this happened at because around here that would have been dealt with and pretty swiftly.

Sue is saying that we should break up fights gently so as to not bruise the aggressor. This is quite obvious bollocks. A child that is being assaulted has the right to be protected by a teacher. No teacher is going to take that opportunity to hand over a good smacking. That would only make things worse. They do their utmost to separate and relieve suffering of the victim. Go teachers and its time Sue Bradford was looked at to see just what she is smoking or baking with.

Imagine been a kid and growing up in a world where all the adults basically can't lay a finger on you, but other kids can have a go at you. I remember reading about a family where the daughters boyfriend shot her little brother with an air rifle and got away with it, the father said to the judge, "so you cant smack kids in this country, but you can shoot them"

questions

1. If someones child is killed or badly injured by bullies in schools due to teachers being unable to physically preventing the assault (the same assault Bradford has said parents are doing to children), can we sue Sue as the person responsible for placing our children in danger?

2. How long would Sue Braford last at a highschool in South Auckland...or anywhere...with abusive, aggressive, hormonal, self absorbed students who woulkd tell her to get *** **!?

3. Is this the same Sue Bradford who stood in the front row of protest marches abusing and assaulting Police officers?

4. If she is NOT re-elected, will that stop this madness?

Sue Bradford use to be one of my tutors while I was studying Social Work. That was when she had helped set up the Peoples Centre in the city (akld). She was okay back then, worked hard, certainly there for the people. As for now, hmmm not to sure whats going on with her. Almost a different person.
