c.pierce,this have nothing to do with oil!!!!!We are debating about Islam and Muslims.Whos reaping the benefits of those oil rich countries !!!!not me ,but those rich oil barons in those countries.To blame whats happening with the Radical Muslims on oil is absolutely RUBBISH.People who keep coming up with excuses for the ACTIONS of the RADICALS and EXTREMISTS are nothing but stupidity.
Radicals dont cause havoc for the name of their oil been taken,but in the name ALLAH!!!!.
It's un-excuseable to blame the ACTIONS of those radicals on anything but pure evil and different interpretation of
BELIEFS and RELIGION. |

| Radical Muslims seems to find an excuse to kill in the name of ALLAh and the moderates are turning a blind eye or pretends it doesn't happened.It's funny how ,the so call moderates seems to come up with an explanation about WHY innocent people were killed in the name of ALLAH!!!!When will we take NOTICE that theres a huge problem awaiting in the near future if we keep letting an influx of these people into our country.SIMPLE,OUR LAWS AND WAY OF LIVING DONT SUITS THEIR RELIGION ,sooner or later ,they will demand changes to our laws and the way we live in NZ to suit their religion. |

Give it up!!!Stop barking about armed terror cells and murderers. Muslims are allowed to exist and prosper.Thats the end of it.Has anyone wondered what has made some people so angry,maybe its having to be persecuted for their beliefs for so long.The Jew was killed the christian was also and so on it goes again.The only thing to worry about is the next intolerant pinhead amongst us.Are you also scared of the dark at night or cant swim???And moderates have to clean up the mess when all is done.Would you prefer white Mormons.I guess Buddhists can't come here either because they don't eat fish and chips or play rugby???What about innocent children dying here every year
Our Muslims here have done that?Sooner or later your children will make friends with a Muslim kid and that will be their choice...And how many catholic priests have abused innocent kids??or is that not a problem? |

One of the fundamental human rights in democracy is Freedom of Religion....
We have so far enjoyed the Freedom of Speech on this issue since the thread started....
While seanmichaels has voiced his concerns (as is his right), I am not very clear about many things he has suggested. For instance, things like "demanding...", "their life and religion not suitable to our laws...", "wanting to change the laws..." "not wanting to integrate..." etc... What are these things the Muslims are demanding (or will demand) in NZ? What laws in NZ they want to change? Aren't they having the right to practice their religious beliefs like everybody else? These are people like you and me, who have as much love for their children and grandchildren as you and me.
From the start, seanmichaels had gone through the crusade of Prevention is Better than Cure. But on the basis of so much assumptions/presumptions. ..? When it's on this basis, I believe we would be persecuting people without cause....
This is a free country....and we must remind ourselves of this: Nobody is Above the Law...whether you are a Governor General, PM, Parliamentarian, Police, Christian, Non-Believer, Atheists, Businessman....or a Muslim. |

Last week in Indonesia,the muslims were demanding a BAN on women showing too much in Public.....ropativa,im sorry but they will demand changes to our laws and our CUSTOMS.Forget ,Iran or those Islamic countries but look closer to whats happening in Malaysia,Thailand and Indonesia.They already had demand things to change here ,it maybe minor but thats the beginning. |

gam wilson,this a real problem and someone should highlight it so people may take notice!!!!! I dont care if i get called a racists pig but if i can try to do something about it then its okay!!!Look what happened in Pakistan,they bombed the marriot hotel because they want the USA to stop crossing the border into Pakistan,rather than taking the USA ,they bombed and killed a lot of people that have nothing to do with their situation.
That alone is a classic example of those RADICAL MUSLIMS. |

I'm glad you can join us phillip2196. It shows we all have different reasons for joining this forum. However, the issue you mentioned is what happened anywhere else. Our country is not big as yours but we do have concern on a different scale.
How do I feel about the Americans, well I lived in your country for almost a decade quite a different story seeing it from outside. I became an American but I realise living in it is defferent with watching it from a political view outside.
Well the old boys net work needs a lot of re thinking to do. The same old same old macho approach no longer work in our mordern days. You have to be technically smart and equipt with the knowledge of the economy. Relying on the army muscle to deal with problems is not the idea solution to our mordern problem.
Perhaps McCain needs to learn to use emails (lol) to find out for himself how the modern system work now days before he make claims to the presedency. Just an opinion.
To claim they won the war in Iraq is a joke when all he is talking about it's the stake that benefit only your country. However, that victory he claim does not solve the world problem like global warming, housing market and the economy by enlarge. Its a big picture we need to look at, your countrys benefit is a short term solution.
We need to deal with the bigger picture which is the root of each country's issue. War affects a lot of natural resources, which at the end your country benefit from war, because you have to resell your arms to the very country you fight against. Its one of the reason your dollar became strong. Please note, I am generally speaking here not attacking individual Americans. I always talk about system when I quote issues we face.
That's near the point we are discussing, but have some connection to our issue discussed. |
